hah she's still going
kinda

-------------------------------------

The contact with the rushing water beneath her was anything but pleasant. The feeling of freezing
water soaking into her fur made Kuda shiver. Her eyes flew wide against the stream of water, making his eyesight blur.

By now, Kuda has lost the piece of meat from the fall, the water making it too hard to hold onto her
prize worthy piece of meat. Poking her head above the surface of water, the current went slamming
into her, causing the small Wyngling to fall back under the depth of water.

It was hard to concentrate. Her ears were drowned out with water, and her body loathed for air; none of
which she could do anything about until she reached the surface once again. How was she suppose to get out of this?

Kuda has never been a swimme. Even when she tried to swim she would always hated the feeling
of no contact beneath her feet, or the feeling of your lungs being filled with water.

Oh no. What if she drowned here?

The thought never really occurred until just now, as she was struggling to find a way back up
towards the surface of the water; now more fear began to bubble in her chest.

Kuda began splashing around, letting her skim the top of the surface just enough for her to catch another
breath of air before being pulled back under against the current. The small Wyngling felt her eyes stinging at
this point, tears wanting to come out but can’t thanks to the water surrounding her.

She wanted to give up— so very badly— but she kept fighting. Moving her limbs every which
way, her sore paw made contact with something hard. Hissing slightly in pain, the small Wyngling let her
paw move once more in that direction and felt it again.

Using it to pull herself up, Kuda blinked the water out of her eyes just enough to see that a small
piece of wood was drifting down with her. It was more graceful against the current of water compared to
how Kuda was; but for now it was a great place to hold onto as she was pulled against the current.

Using this time to catch her breath and keep her head above water, she felt the pounding of her ears not
giving away, why? She was above water now, why was there still this loud noise?

Looking around for the source, her dual colored eyes found something odd, did the water just
stop right there? It looked like it was sloping down for an odd reason.

Oh. Oh no.

Releasing a loud squeak, Kuda knew how waterfalls worked, and just now she was about to see it first hand.
Panicking, she looked around wildly to see a fallen branch clinging onto a tree. It wasn’t sturdy, but it was her best bet.

Only now she had to swim over there. Taking a deep breath, Kuda climbed halfway onto the piece of wood
she had seen drifting down the rushing water. Unfortunately the feeling of something sturdy beneath her paws
only lasted for a few moments until she felt her body sloping downwards with the water.

Breaking the wood log, the feeling of air caught her stomach once more: but Kuda found herself blacking out.
