I was part of a secret santa swap on a My Little Pony online collectors forum and along with a bunch of pony toys I made this custom of my secret swap partner's pony persona. It wasn't an easy feat as I couldn't find any pictures of her persona anywhere...only a description. I also found in another thread that she'd love to get tattoos of stars on her face around her eyes to match the tatoos of stars on her back (which are the colors of the pony's stars) so I decided to add thos on as well. This was really a fun custom to make and I really hope that she loves it

Okay I need to ask! How much hair do you use on one pony? If that was solid colour of hair how many skeins is it and from where?

I regular sized skein of hair from [link] is enough to reroot an entire G3 pony's mane and tail.

I have some custompony hair but have never used it. I don't like the texture very much so it's just been sitting in my custom supply box >_< Not really sure if they are smaller or not than a restoredoll skein since the are packaged so differently. I do know that the Dollyhair.com skeins are way smaller than a restoredoll skein though, if you need to reroot a G3 with that buy more than one skein.

See that is what I thought too but I think I have to agree it needs more! I am currently looking at other places I love DH due to the texture. But I am still new so I have yet to really sit down with one company. I have custompony.com hair coming my way this week some time. And I am thinking next time I buy hair I will have to get a skein of Restoredoll and see how it feels and looks. Wow, what a fabulous gift for Space, she must be so thrilled. All those stars look mind-bogglingly hard to paint all perfect like that, but man they look great. And of course the horn, hair and eyes are lovely as well.
