Celorn is still working out how to do this properly, but we thought this test reel was cute enough to post. When we can get the camera hooked up properly, he'll be able to do WAY more frames... but this at least shows you the potential & the poseability.
This is why all my plants keep dying... :/

What a cute little fella, minus him using your plants as a toilet. I'd say give him a good little knock on the nose - when I say knock I mean a gentle tapping - on the nose and tell him no if he were an actual dog, but he's still so gosh darn cute!

The wolf took... well, I can't count that high without taking my socks off. The actual animation part only took Celorn about 15 minutes.

Its not a toy so much as a soft-sculpture, although hell, you CAN play with it. Wolves like this (you pick the colours) go for $225 CDN + shipping.

It was a british children's television show with puppets quite a while ago. It is set in a herb garden and the characters are all Herbs. The Main character is a lion called Parsley.

interesting... I've often thought of using dolls to animate but haven't actually gotten around to it yet... - it's great to see others thinking along the same lines but actually doing it! 
A Tripod would help reduce the amount of camera shake, and for more life-like movement I guess one would need a doll with more bend-ability in the legs to avoid the "wooden legs" look... this is really great as a test though!

We're not animators ourselves, so this obviously needs some work - we're leaving that up to Celorn though. He's the camera guy, we're just props artists.
Unfortunately the legs are one of those trade offs; style for poseability. We haven't found a way to do the wrist joint that we liked the look of (unfortunately trimming fur is limiting at this size, and tends to totally obliterate any definition making it look like a wolf in fuzzy pjs), so this is the way its stayin' for now. We may give a single ball joint there a try in future, but since that'll involve remaking the legs entirely it'll have to wait until after con season. :/

Wow, this is amazing. First off, the doll itself is excellently done. The face, the eyes, the painting, the fur... everything. And the animation is amazing as well. Still frames can be so blooming annoying. And considering, this flows pretty darned well.
The rolling around and peeing made me giggle.

Thank you! This guy is definitely one of our favorite wolves; the gray fur is just a dream to work with.
Hopefully we'll be able to do something smoother, and less choppy shortly. Unfortunately Chris doesn't have any experience with the program after effects, and since I didn't have time to put it together myself, he did the best he could with a space bar and previewer. LOL
