I think it may be mud.lol. funny that both of them have the same mud pattern.

This arctic fox has a strange fur pattern (like a mix between fox and snow leopard
I thought they are very shy but this one is really sleeping out in the open, sweet. ^^

and yup foxes and wolves are cute
foxes were my fav animals but I like wolves, lions, tigers, hawks and eagles more I guess...
