Writing & Editing Commissions Information Writing + Editing Commissions NSFW SFW (2023)Writing Daydreams to Reality's Commissions Information:SFW & NSFW Writing & Editing Commissions Hello! Welcome to my commissions journal. I am a professional writer and I have been writing fiction commissions on DeviantArt for 3 years. If you have a story you would like me to bring to life or you are looking for some editing help on your own work—I am here to help! This journal has several sections about my open commissions, prices, rules, terms, and more. Contents of this post: (This is a big post so use these links below to navigate sections!) About MeAvailable Commissions: Writing CommissionsAvailable Commissions: Editing CommissionsAvailable Commissions: Manuscript Querying & AssistanceAvailable Commissions: Additional ServicesHow to Order a Commission (by submitting an order, you agree to my terms and rules)PaymentRules & TermsFAQsClient Testimonials About MeMy name is Danni Lynn. I have a bachelor of arts in creative writing and am a fulltime freelance writer. While 80% of my work consists of fiction commissions, I am also a fact-checker for a publishing company, I write web copy for a number of businesses, I am a resume writer, and until recently wrote SEO copywriting for a marketing company for a few years. Before I became a writer, I worked as a writing assistant at university and after graduation in Poland. I received training and worked as an assistant in the classroom, helping students develop, edit and work on their papers. My goal wasn't to just improve their work but to improve their skills as writers too. I worked in groups and in one on one settings in person and online. My commissions are here to help you enjoy a story—whether that is seeing an idea you have being written out or if it’s assisting you with your work. I write commissions from 500 words to 10,000 or more on a variety of topics. My editing commissions can be a one-time project, can have multiple rounds of editing with supported revisions, and I also work with clients to help them prepare their books for submission to publishers and agents. Did you know? I just celebrated my 300th commission July 2023! A selection of fiction works can be found in my gallery. Open CommissionsI have both SFW and NSFW writing and editing commissions available. All accepted commissions are scheduled to be worked on and completed within a window of three weeks. I only accept payments upfront. Once a writing commission is complete, I will email it to the client who has two rounds of small revisions or changes. These are sentence level corrections. If there is a big change or addition that is needed after the story is completed, that will be a word count order. If the client wishes to have a section rewritten, a change that affects the word count, or wants more added to the story, that will result in an additional writing commission order. Editing & Proofreading CommissionsAre you writing a story or need help with an idea? No matter what draft or stage of work, I can help! Editing ranges from the little to the big stuff. These can be edits for grammar, punctuation, spelling and more. But a "correct" paper isn't always a "great" paper. You still have voice, flow, order and the meaning of the paper to look at. I have editing services for both short stories of all types or manuscripts. I have a breakdown of my services according listed separately below. Please read what each type of editing means and decide what you need. These types of edits can be used for manuscripts, short stories, and even one page of content. Let me know what you are looking for and I can help you find the best edit for you. What I EditEssaysStoriesPoemsChapters/booksRough DraftsWebsite Content and BlogsArticlesLetters/ EmailsScriptsand more!Editing & Proofreading Services:If you have a story (of any size or stage) that you want me to look at, I have three simple options for you to pick from. Find your fit for direct feedback, quick advice, or in-depth line edits. Content Editing: I will provide feedback directly on your piece about the characterization, structure, flow, voice, setting, direction, and impact of your work. (No in-line edits, no edits on grammar, punctuation, etc.) Price: $00.02 per word. Line Editing: I will provide in-line edits and feedback directly on your piece about both the big ideas (characterization, structure, flow, voice, setting, direction, and impact) as well as the small ideas such as grammar, punctuation, word usage, and other sentence-level edits. Price: $00.05 per word. Beta Reading: Do you want some quick feedback on your book or story? I can read your work and then provide a write-up response at the end about the state your story is in. I will comment on the big ideas either at the end of a short story or after each chapter/ section in a longer work. Price: $00.01 per word. Manuscript QueryingQuerying your manuscript is hard work. From preparing your manuscript, researching what agents to submit to (not to mention how to submit, who to trust, etc.) and then you have to wait for a response. I am here to help ease that process. This commission is very customizable because every situation and every manuscript is very different. I am available to provide you with a list of agents to submit to, based on what agents might suit your project the best. I am available to query your manuscript for you and handle all the communications between potential agents and your projects. Querying Preparation: You need an author biography, a book synopsis, and an email ready to go and represent your manuscript to a variety of agents. If you need assistance making this content, need it written, or need an edit, I’m here to help. This price depends on what the client needs. The Research: I can procure a list of agents open to querying and charge $10.50 per agent. This includes online research, agent databases, going to bookstores to do hands-on research, and connections. I will provide the agent’s name, a book they have represented that matches your manuscript, that book’s ratings and review counts over on Goodreads and Amazon (to gauge a success estimate,) a link to the agent’s website, a link to the agent’s contact or query information, the agent’s email, and more. This will give you everything you need to start querying in one MS excel document (or Google Sheets.) The Querying: If you wish to hire me to handle the querying on your behalf, I will complete this by creating an email for you that we both will have access to. I will use this email to submit your query requests where you will be able to see and keep track of all the emails I send as well as view any responses as they come in. This email, when the project is done, will be turned over to the client’s control. I charge about $8.00 per query as well as $5.00 per any response to an agent that continues the project or consideration. (Simple, “thank you for your consideration!” and other courtesy emails are not charged. Additional ServicesConsultations/ Scheduled CallsAuthors are welcome to request and schedule calls with me via cellphone or on zoom (voice only, no video) to discuss their projects, brainstorm, and to go over any edits or revisions. $15.00 to schedule a call.$1.00 per minute. Invoices are sent after the calls for payment. Can be scheduled within the hours of 8:00 am to 3:00 pm EST Monday through Friday. If none of those times are available for you, we can discuss other options.Rushed ServicesI provide, when able, rushed services to complete a commission quickly. Certain times of the month I often have waitlists that can be up to a month long. While this is always changing, I offer rushed services if a client needs a project turned around quickly or would like to skip the waitlist. As we plan a project together, I will give you an estimate for when I can start on that piece. Start dates cannot be guaranteed or saved until the project is paid for. If you would like to receive the project earlier than those offered dates, I have an upcharge available starting at +50% of the project’s price to have the project completed a week earlier. If you would like it two weeks earlier, that fee increases by +25% every additional week. For example, a $100.00 project can be received a week earlier for $150.00. Two weeks earlier would be $175.00, and three weeks earlier would be $200.00.This option is not always available, depending on my current schedule, but if you are interested, please inquire.Additional Edits and RevisionsFor editing commissions:After your initial edits for an order are complete, you will have one week to ask me any questions you may have or for clarification on any edits I have sent you. After that week is up (I will email you at the beginning and end of this revision period) any additional new questions about new advice or tips can be ordered as paid emails for one-time or one-shot advice. Prepaid emails cost $5 each and clients are welcome to purchase one at a time as needed or in sets of multiple emails that I will keep on record. If you would like to order a onetime email after your revision process is over you're welcome to e-mail me a question and include a line saying “I would like to order one writing advice e-mail for $5.” I will send you an invoice for the amount on PayPal and once that is paid for, I will go ahead and respond to your email. If you make new changes to your story after we have completed a round of edits and would like me to look at the story again, you are more than welcome to make an additional editing or proofreading order and I will take a look at your work for another round! For writing commissions: After your commission is completed, you have one week to request any revisions or changes to the story (up to two) that are small corrections but do not change the word count. If you would like something new added, a big change, or want to make a change that affects the word count, you can order an additional writing commission to make those changes. How to Order a CommissionAfter you finish reviewing this journal, you are welcome to ask me any questions or go ahead and submit a Commissions Order Form. The order form is an inquiry so I can look at your request, we will discuss it, and I can decide to accept it. Submitting an order form is not a guarantee that I am working with you, nor is it binding in any way. It is only an inquiry. When you submit a Commissions Order Form, this means you agree to and will abide by my commission rules and terms as stated in this journal. How to Order a CommissionFill out my Commissions Order FormDiscuss and agree on project (feel free to ask many questions!)I will email you the agreed upon price and I will send you an invoice via PayPal or give you a link to my points commission widget where you will make your payment. PaymentI only accept payment upfront from PayPal or DeviantArt points via the shop. Points:I will create a commission widget for you to pay at specifically. Do not send me points without first ordering and confirming a project with me. Do not make your payment by sending points as a "donation" or a "gift" either.PayPal:Do not pay me until you receive my acceptance of the project and the official price via email and an invoice.I will send you an invoice via PayPal. This is done by sending the invoice to your email connected to your PayPal account. PayPal charges around a 2.89% fee and higher for these transactions so my prices will be raised by 3.00% to match those fees. Rules & TermsI have the right to refuse any project or commission idea. All writing commissions, I am the creator/writer but you are the sole owner/ creator of the ideas and characters (if they are your own OCs).If you repost any pieces that I write for you on DeviantArt, do not claim as your own writing and properly tag or provide a link to my profile. All commissions are nonrefundable unless I am unable to complete the work. All commission payments are only accepted upfront from DeviantArt points or via PayPal.General writing commissions are not to be used for commercial purposes. No NaggingI get my work done in a timely fashion but, if there is an issue with nagging, I will give warnings. If it happens twice, I will drop the commission. This is rude and disrespectful. If you have any questions or concerns, I would love to hear them but I do not want to open my inbox and see that I have the same message from you every hour or so. NSFW/ SFW TermsI do write NSFW pieces but no violent/abusive relationship subjects or fetishized violence and abuse etc.I have the right to refuse any project or ideas.NSFW pieces will not be posted on my account online and will be sent to the client only.I will block and report anyone that approaches me with inappropriate/lewd behavior or requests. NSFW: What I write: Spicy, explicit scenes. When submitting your request, please let me know exactly what level of detail you are looking for.Violence or action sequences that are non-sexual. Blood, gore, etc.Fetishes: I do write fetishes but only if the content is consented and non-violent. NSFW: What I do not write: Any type of sexual violence, anything that glorifies or sexualizes violence. Absolutely no rape, sexual assault, or sexually abusive relationships in stories. No underage characters--no aged up characters. No furry fetishes in explicit NSFW content. (Furries are perfectly fine in SFW pieces)No incest. No idolization or sexualization/fetishizing of murder, suicide, self-harm, etc.Absolutely no requests pertaining to or for the purpose of glorifying hate speech, or anything demeaning/ propaganda against any race, religion, gender, identity, faith, etc. etc. TrollingNo trolling/ inappropriate behavior. I will end the commission with no refund. CreditFor writing commissions...do not claim my work as your own. These will be your ideas but it is the same as commissioning someone to paint your OC. It is the artist's painting. ClientsOnly serious requests. Do not pretend to be a client when you are fishing for free editing. If you require editing services, read my editing commission information. No Student Work for Writing Commissions Do NOT try to order a writing commission for something that you have to complete or are writing for a class no matter what grade, institution, etc. These projects will be refused and you will be blacklisted from my commissions and writing advice.Cheating, plagiarizing, and more are serious offenses and can get you expelled/ suspended. If you are struggling with a paper that you do not know how to write, ask your teacher, classmates, or ask your school for a tutor. Purdue Owl (Purdue Writing Lab) is a fantastic resource for students. Student Work for Editing CommissionsTo be simple, you can't hire an editor for your schoolwork. That's like paying someone to do your homework. I won't do that. What I can do is look over and suggest big idea ideas/ ways to improve your writing as I would if I was just a writing tutor. (Note: Since that is not normal edits, papers like this are half price since I am only reading through and offering advice. See my proofreading commissions for more information.)RefundsI accept payment upfront for my projects. I only issue refunds if I am unable to complete the project for a reason on my end. If you would like to see samples of my work, I have a portfolio or examples in my gallery for you to see. If I have to cancel a project because of a broken rule (nagging/ inappropriate behavior) I will not refund you. If you hire me to work on a project, pay me, and decide to cancel after I have already begun working on it, you will not get a refund. FAQsCan projects be broken up?Yes. If you would like to hire me for a big project, we can split it up into payments. Pay me for part one, and I will write it. Pay for part two, and I will write it. How long does a commission take? For every client, I schedule it within a three-week window. I work Monday through Friday. If the project will take longer than three weeks, I will notify the client. Why three weeks? I work for many different clients at the same time. This allows me to schedule and complete work on rotation in the order I receive it. For example, lengths such as 2,000 words can be completed in one day. 10,000 words can take anywhere from a week to a month. It depends on the story. But as I said, it depends on the projects that I am working on at the same time. What order do you work on commissions? Projects are first come first served. I generally create anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 words a week, 100 to 300 pages of editing a week, depending on what orders I am working on. All projects are scheduled on my calendar once they are paid for. WaitlistI usually always have a sort of waitlist. When projects are being ordered, I will notify the client of the soonest date that I can start working on the project. Once the payment is submitted, I will secure those dates on my calendar. I will not save days or weeks for a commission that has not been paid for. I want my commission done right now. If you order a commission but do not ask for it to be done by a certain time, do not message me demanding it to be done on a random day (i.e.. the next day). This is rude and nagging. If you need it by a certain time, let me know and we will agree on a schedule that I will follow, if possible. Communicate what you need so I can help you to the best of my abilities. Rushed projects do have a fee, dependent on the situation. What is your schedule? I am a fulltime freelance writer. I work 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. I do not work on the weekends and I will answer notes, emails, and any questions within my designated working hours. TipsSometimes I receive tips for a piece. First, this is not necessary but thank you in advance! But, if you do send a tip, this does not impact or change what I am sending you. Tips or any money above the agreed upon amount does not add words or content to your piece from the originally agreed upon word count. To explain: I've had works in the past commissioned for a set price and a set word count. I've had a $5.00 tip sent before and the note said "I sent you a little tip~~ since I've done this for you, could you add 1,000 more words to my piece pretty please?" Absolutely not--this is unacceptable and does not work within our agreed amount. i.e. 1,000 words = $20.00With this being said, if you would like to expand your order to a larger word count, note me and we can add that on with the proper payment. Client TestimonialsI have plans to create a website for my writing services later this year. In the meantime, my client testimonials can be found right here Testimonial from SoftPetal "After wanting and failing to write my own piece of fiction for quite a while, the idea of starting with a commission was born. That way I could still do the fun bits like dreaming up the world and the characters, but get help with the actual planning and writing. Once my mind was open to that option, Danni Lynn on DA caught my eye (writeddreams2reality). She's an enthusiastic, travelled and industrious fiction writer, that has just the vibe I was looking for. The business part was efficiently and swiftly handled and with that the journey began! Danni has a very personal approach and the care with which she explored, planned and wrote the story is excellent. She values time to fleshing out the story with the customer over pure efficiency, which is very welcome in fiction writing. To me it felt like first class treatment. It resulted in a story that I am very happy with and me having learned a thing or two about turning a daydream into a real story! Thank you!" Testimonial from anongreay "WOW! That was unbelievable. It was the exact tone and setting that I was looking for. I loved all your wording, descriptions and her thoughts. I knew from reading your stories you would have that depth to the story that I wanted!" Testimonial from royalmaddog85 "I have had the pleasure of working with Danni on two of my comic books so far, one of which has been published. Her editing process is thorough and easy to follow. Danni has been a great help getting me started and cannot recommend her services enough. She is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with her again on my future comic books." Testimonial from redreaper1951 "Danni Lynn is a skillful writer who strives to deliver to the best of her abilities what she is commissioned to work on. I am very happy and pleased to have commissioned and trusted a talented and eager writer to write my ideas and stories."If you are ready to order a commission go HERE to submit your form! All forms contain commission specific information, questions, and options for you to completeBy submitting a form, you are agreeing to my commission rules, terms, and service.
