so I randomly got motivated to do a mind wolf portrait. this is 25, a concept of 'white mind wolves', distinct and so much worse than regular ones. They are clear-headed, organized, manipulative and far more cunning. They come as white, pure thoughts that will rip and destroy reality until brought under control.pastel 18x24 45 minutes

basic canson pastel paper, it's some kind of dark grey

I like canson paper. Getting used to the fact that pastel is SO DUSTY on anything but sandpaper is a pain but having good pastels kind of helps the paper. I usually work in layers when I'm doing super fine stuff, so getting a workable fixative is imperative.

yeah, I used to do a lot of pastel work on sand paper. it's a pain in the rear to mix colors on though. 
that sounds very epic. if i start doing pastel work i'll definitely have to see about getting some of that!!
