I am terribly and incredibly jealous of how awesome this is! I really love the way the nose reshaped--I've been having trouble getting mine to straighten out, so that's one detail that I always hone into when I'm stalking people's work. I also really like how this one fits on the face, and I think it's because of the eye area. I love that the model's chin lines up with under the nose to almost "fill in" the lower jaw, which in turn to me makes the line-up of the coyote's eyes with the model's eyes work very well. Very lovely work, I look forward to seeing more in the future!

The nose is the hardest part, and I haven't exactly perfected my art in that area. Every face I get seems to have another challenge I didn't expect with the nose cartilage and no matter how many tutorials I read and pictures I look at, I can't seem to get them perfect. I've found that the longer I let the skin rehydrate in the fridge the more supple the nose gets, but, if there is too much water it will make it slip. A fine line. I only soak them for 10 minutes though. I then spend most of the reshaping time on the nose, actually, and then the ears take the next most time. I can easily spend over an hour fussing.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one struggling with the noses despite tutorials, then haha.
Most of them say just that--soak them longer--but it is hard to soak just the nose without getting slippage on the upper muzzle. I did read one suggestion for wet dryer sheets on the nose, but it didn't work so well (although I was surprised how many people recommended using a dryer sheet as a "back" for sewing up small holes in the skin 0_0 I would have never guessed, although they also weren't making masks for skin-to-skin contact xD) I did my first one before I left for a week so I wouldn't be tempted to keep trying to fuss with it while it was drying. (Our house sitter found my instructions "please check on head in bathroom" to be rather humorous though. xD)
I saw you uploaded some more so I'll be continuing to creep over the next few days!

I am just waiting until I have my DBA and etsy store opened, but I'm happy to hear there is interest! I am making a second mask right now so hopefully when I open I'll have two coyote masks.

You really fixed those ears up well! I love the shape of the mask. Do you know how much will you be selling them for? I'm definitely interesting in buying one.

About $40-50 I'm thinking for these guys depending on how much work I have to do in the reshaping process. And thank you, I really love working on the ears and the noses the most.
