Description ...To find that this impression was totally correct. A veritable trash-heap of broken furniture, crates, boxes, and what looked like a dead potted plant, hung suspended in a heavy net, high overhead. There was no question in TK's mind as to where those tripwires led. A little tingle crept down the young tigress' spine and made her hackles rise. Sonya, it appeared, was definitely playing hardball. If the crossbow bolt had caught her in the leg, that would have been very bad, TK knew... But if that mountain of junk had crashed down on her, there was no telling how badly she'd have been hurt. Assuming she hadn't been able to dodge out of the way...and as tired as she was becoming, TK wasn't at all sure she'd want to put such a thing to the test.

And so, she stepped carefully over and among the trio of spider-thin wires, straining her dark-sharp eyes for any sign of ones she might have missed. Those eyes were still peering intently all about when she began to creep up the stairs and on toward whatever waited beyond. Going up was always a good thing when one was underground...wasn't it? That question echoed darkly though her mind - and with no reassuring answer - as she pressed on through the gloom...

Thank god TK looked up, or she would've been seriously injured

*nods emphatically, staring in fear and relief at TK* Aye, that she would've! I'm liking this Sonya person less-and-less the more I see of her handiwork. How about you?

Wow, Sonya will use anything as a weapon. Great story.

It looks like Sonya's having a clear-out, if you cant flog it at a garage sale why not drop it on your enemy

Re-cycling is a good thing but not on TK's head

*nods enthusiastically* Now that you've pointed it out, I see it very clearly...

*crosses something off a small list in his hand, stares at it thoughfully for another moment*

Yep...guess that just about knocks off the last thing on the extremely short list of Sonya's redeeming qualities... *very quietly* A list of one...at least it seemed like she might've had the "green" thing going for her...

I'm glad TK did as well, she could have had a nasty headache and I'm sure she would have been after you for more 'Danger' money

*nods sadly, looks at his (as previously-discussed) painfully thin wallet*

*sighs* Yes she would...which I think is a scheme on her part... The less money I have in my pocket, the fewer surprises I can buy for her... Kind of a win-win for our dear, brave heroine there...

Which I suppose she deserves every now and then...

You'll have to keep her sweet, especially if she's a Union Member you dont want a 'walk-out'

Cool pic. It made me laugh when I saw it. A second ago TK's threat was an unseen, diabolical trap and the next moment it's a net of junk hanging from the ceiling.

Glad you enjoyed that. I had a lot of fun doing this one, too, and was rather happy with how it all came out. So it makes me ten times as much so to know that you liked it, my friend. Seriously.

What are those things in the net anyway? and what is "exide"? And how did Sonya get this stuff up there?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wynter333A In reply to side-effect55 [2007-10-15 13:09:05 +0000 UTC]

Hehe..."Exide" is a battery company (specifically, they do a lot of car batteries and things of that sort...which is what that is up there in the net )

Well, let's see, a comprehensive listing of that net's contents would be as follows: three heavy wooden crates, a furniture moving dolly, an old television set, two chairs, a heavy wooden side-table, a rusted iron pressure cylinder from a small boiler, one heavy-duty car battery...and one dead, potted plant.

As for how Sonya got the stuff up there? The same way she did everything in this crazy place: With a lot of hard work and sadistic creaticity. In this particular instance, she loaded up the net while it was on the ground and used a winch to crank the stuff up into position...then she set the tripwires. Isn't she quite the crafts-woman?

Thanks! Since it's the only visual medium I'm capable of working in...guess that works out pretty well then!

(But I'm seriously very happy that you like it. Always have really enjoyed how 3D stuff comes out. "Traditional" art always impresses me FAR more...but 3D ain't half bad as an artistic medium, imho. )
