Description Something that popped in my head during an RP.

The Shiba Clan is from the "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" TV show from Japan. You may recognize it as "Power Rangers Samurai" here in the states. The main design is based on the katanas that the heroes would use while fighting the monsters in every episode along with flags that samurai would hold in the air to show the clan they represent.

The kanji that line the flag are the symbols that each hero has on their mask. In descending order, they say "Fire", "Water", "Wood", "Earth", and "Heaven". Yes, they are copied and pasted onto the image.

Samurai Sentai Shinkengers is part of the Super Sentai series and is owned by Toei.

This would either be for a member of the Shiba clan that has become a key bearer or for one that has helped them.

This would probably work in a setting for Power Rangers or Super Sentai within the town-based worlds.

More like a sequence of events that lead to a major threat and they're involved in it.

what is your take on the skill check?

I think it should remain in the rules of 3e since there's a ton of things that can be done with them, especially with storytelling.

However, we could have an ability slot system with a set amount of points to spend based on class. These points can make major improvements on skills based on when certain actions are taken.

well the chronicle system rank 2 is standard, rank 8 is cap and this skill rank also functions as the opposing (DC)Β  + adjustment for each rank is a six sided dice, penalitys remove one dice.

for D&D this rank is the modifier + d20

Wyvern-Master In reply to novadragon1000 [2014-11-05 03:12:20 +0000 UTC]

Again, the d20 system makes things more simple.

seems so but i am just takeing a part of that chronicle system to make the character sheet and the rank becomes the ability modifer and a d20 when doing a skill check

Well, that seems cool. Also, closer to the original version, looking like a banner as the Shinkenger have. Kinda hoped to see kurokos at PRS, but well...

You know, you have a point about the kurokos. They could have been used around the handle to make it appear more like a keyblade.
