Hey there, deviantART! Looked pretty dead from the neck up there, didn't I? Well, after finall being made able to get my computer back to functioning again, as well as being able to get my scanner to cooperate with me again, and getting actual free time to carry this out, I've returned. And here is one of my characters (from 2020) and the wielder of the Hierophant sword and Mysteriarch Shield, Abel Za'aphiel.

Abel hails from the country of Ecclesia (based off Iran with the Vatican State mixed in), ruled by the fanatical Pius Eckhart. Formerly the boyfriend of Magdaline Pascha-Kollus, Abel's increasing fanaticism and unquestioning deference to Pius' dogmas broke the romance beyond repair. That being said. Abel genuinely isn't a bad guy, but immensely misled. Maybe one of these days this well-meaning peacekeeper will see just Supreme Leader Eckhart's the true danger to Ecclesia.

The character here is based on Joss Wheaton from God's Not Dead in both name and appearance. Seeing how the main character of that movie was meant to be seen by the audience as a guy standing up against a tyrannical (Atheist except really anti-theist) professor for Christianity but instead came off as the same kind of butthole as him, if not worse made me want to base a character off him. Guess it goes to show how people can take inspiration from anything, even stuff they think is absolute trash.
