Wintergaze shakily lifted from her bed, replying "It's only natural to want a mother I suppose..." Once sitting upright, she continued," But what about Fireberry? And Blueberry? They've cared for you since you've been here, right?"

"It's not the same, they don't look at me the same way they do their own kits...no one does..."

Wintergaze purred, amused,"No one but me, right?"

Frostkit stared in awe, How can she joke about her blindness like that? She wondered.

This is the last page I have for you guys. Now I'll have to get on with making more final-sketches to scan. I've already got plenty of drafts (Worked on page 13 of chapter 11 today!). Only 2 more pages and Chapter 2 will be over, and then Chapter 3 can start with the focus back on Darkdream. Haha, that chapter is fun... But kind of silly. This chapter feels silly to me too, but it's necessary.

The bottom was cut off, but it was a no win situation, because had I scanned it the other way, Wintergaze's words would've been cut off.
