I remember when I was about 4 years old when my older brother would play Linkin Park (and other bands), I didn't became a fan until I was 8. I stopped hearing them late 2016 (when I forgot to play their songs for a week) until I saw Chester Bennington singing One More Light to Chris Cornell. Like any other fans, I was sadden when I heard the news of his suicide, I didn't shed a tear (I don't know why).
People asked if Linkin Park should continue making music but I wouldn't do that because Chester is vocalist and he sings in every song, and putting a different singer isn't gonna help, the fans wouldn't get used to it, so the best thing for them to do, is to not make music and maybe just do tours, or just break the band up.

I've had the honor of seeing Linkin Park perform live, and the day that Chester passed I just couldn't hold back the tears even after a year since I still swell up when I think about it and listen to his voice. Chester may be gone, but his spirit and memories still live on in his family, the friends who knew him best, and the fans who he touched with his music. My favorite songs are New Divide, what I've done, one step closer, numb, and easier to run.

Here's a sad fun fact, the day that Chester Bennington of Linkin Park committed suicide by hanging, July 20, 2017, would have been the 53rd Birthday of Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave, who also committed suicide by hanging two months earlier on May 18, 2017. Cornell and Bennington were good friends and the latter did a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" at the formers funeral. Bennington was also The Godfather of Cornell's son, Christopher Jr. It seems they were both depressed, which often plays a big role in suicide. Hopefully, you'll never commit suicide! Anyway RIP Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington!
