Description I figured it has been long enough since I submitted something. This is the first eye work that I have done in a while, so bear with me as I get re-adjusted to working.

I hope you enjoy this piece and that I have at least a couple watchers left out there.

Any suggestions or ideas for my next submission will be welcomed with open arms!

Thanks for looking. No stock used on this one.

Very interesting! I like how, even though you've used all the colors of the rainbow, the pinky purple is predominant.

Very colorful, how did you apply the rainbow gradient effect over the eye area?

Really cool effect with the stripes of color going not just through the eye, but also all around it. Very fun. However, the scrawny lashes (mascara?) seem to offset the tone of the happy bright rainbow colours.
Still, good work, esp without stocks ;D

A lovely picture, so realistic that I would have thought at first that you did use stock. I like the use of patterns and bright colors.

So loverly... ^^ I like the dots (whatever they're supposed to be called) What colour was the eye originally? And for suggestions...um... I think it would be cool if you took half of a face (like cropped the picture down the middle) and did the rainbow-ish stuff to that. Maybe have the lips kind of open..? Yeah. Let me know if you do it!

Aw~!
Thank you so much, your support means a lot!
My eyes are actually a grey/green/blue-ish color. Here's a crop of the photo I used for this submission, so you can see what I am talking about (I never know how to describe my eye color): [link] . Nothing fantastic really.

And thank you for your suggestion, it sounds like a lot of fun. I'll try it and will be sure to keep you in the loop if it turns out alright!

You have pretty eyes! ^^ I like the dark ring on the outside and the faint greening around the pupil. I can see the window's reflection in the iris...
Have fun!! What system do you use to make changes to the eye? How long does it normally take?

Thank you, I'm flattered!
Isn't that funny how you can see so much in the reflections? I remeber about 9 months ago I was looking around for some stocks and I found this one that clear as day showed the whole street outside the window in the reflection of the eye. Someday I hope to find a way to get the lighting right to such an extent that I can show different images in the reflection of the eyes.

I actually just use photoshop elements for my eyes. Which is silly because I own the full photoshop... I just like the computer that elements is on better.

As for the timing, it all depends on what I want to do. This one took about 2-ish hours just because I had to figure out what sort of texture and coloring I wanted. The coloring of the iris itself only takes about 15-35 minutes to get right with the highlights and low-lights.

I know about the reflections- its like trying to take a picture through a window. Really, really hard to get the right angle to get rid of it. Though sometimes the reflection is the best part of the picture.
I envy people who can work with photoshop. I have Paintshop Pro and have NO idea how to use it. Manuals are pretty dang useless when they are that long. -sigh- Pretty hit-and-miss, really.
Two hours isn't bad! Especially for something that pretty. Dang, now I sound like a suck up. Ehem- oops. :3 High lighting things just right so they don't look artificial must be a pain though.
Oh, another idea. Try taking a photo of two hands cupped (like you are trying to hold in water) and experiment with what they are holding. Ball of light, water... you could also add painted nails, rhinestones, jewelrey, etc.
