Description Rotwang reminded me of Claude Frollo, and Claude Frollo reminded me of Rotwang. Though Claude is unable to create life through alchemy or sorcery. Rotwang gives birth to robot Maria through science. They even die in a similar way, falling off their house. Obviously they're different characters -- Frollo is a French Catholic and Rotwang is undetermined.
