The first thing I thought of when I saw this piece was, 'Oh, damn - I've died and gone to Tim Burton heaven...'
The low saturation, the wispy fog, the angle and the glorious atmosphere makes this an eye-candy feast. I think some of the most beautiful shots from nature are the most under-rated, fog definitely falls under that category - you don't see enough with any man made structure like this fence in them. I'm glad you had the opportunity to photograph this, especially with human building to go alongside the trees.
It's gloomy enough to be depressing, but it's also gorgeous enough to make it uplifting. I adore how you can see down the road, and then there is really, truly nothing there except ghostly trees - it really makes me wish I could walk down it and see what lies beyond the focal point of your camera. Though it's slightly grainy, that gives it an other-worldly feel, makes it very spectral and ghostly - very chilling atmosphere. Most people would have focused more on the middle of the trees, instead I really like how you took the tree-top approach here, as well e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />
The only thing I could have suggested to make this stand out even more is a different angle. I think that if the road had been the center point of the picture with the fence(s?) flanking it, it would have been more engaging. From what I can see here, it would have been fairly easy to accomplish, especially if you have/had a tripod to assist. It would have been slightly more cliche, since much nature photography (I'd classify this as nature anyway) that involves roads or trails is usually taken dead-on, but in this case I think your shot would have benefited from that perspective. It's still a fantastic view, but the fence being cut off and the road being off center is slightly distracting and it takes away (even if only slightly!) from the overall feel and view of the portrait.
It's not enough to make it any less stunning though - I sincerely wish that I had views like this to enjoy where I live, but alas, I do not - which is why I simply must thank you for posting this to share with everybody e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" /> Wonderful job.

Magnificent. The road to the end. Really gives you a feeling of hopelessness. (:

THANK YOU!
But to be honest, it looked better in reality. Like the fog was so very close, everywhere around. And the photo doesn't make it justice.
I'm really glad you like it though. ^^

No, it worked very well! It looks gloomy and sad, like a Tim Burton movie <3
