Most of my tattoos are black and gray, yet I love to do color work. When I do color work I try to do a mixture of warm and cool colors because of the way they give nice contrast. This tattoo has those elements and seems balanced. I like the mixtures of browns and yellows in the owl. I think you could have added highlights to the owls eyes just to make them "pop" a little more. If I had done this tattoo, I may have shaded the the teeth with a darker blue and not with black. My eyes are drawn to the teeth for that reason...
This is a solid tattoo!

i love the way you used the skull as part of the body of the owl. Innovative. The colors chosen are a great combination and clearly you have an understanding of complementary colors. Such expression in the eyes. Your work is such eye candy!!

very great idea with the skull, I really love it, I personally would prefer owl in darker colors and the skull white as snow, but this is about personal taste. Keep going on doing good tattoos

The owls claws bug me a little bit tho.. think maybe they needed to appear from the black area of the eye socket rather than be surrounded by red.

I loooove this tattoo!! I just adore the way the owl perfectly melts into the skull. Mostly I'm not a skull-type of person, and I would never have one like that myself but this is really really well done!

my design looks familar with she's, but if you see- in my design another concept, another lines. I don't use she's work, I'm serious. It's a pitty, that you think so bad

I'm sorry but other than a few vague similarities, Xenija's owl is clearly not based around Tee's. Google 'owl' and you'll find many images of owls in that exact same pose.

Colours and light are good, but with strong lines like these, I would have used more black (extended shadow on the inside) or at least I would have done this with the darkest tone of the same colour (for exemple dark brown for the wings...etc)
Lines are pretty good, clean work.
