It has been a year since her proud and mighty sword Ravenaire was shattered to pieces in the hands of her former mentor/lover now mortal enemy and in the aftermath had recovered the pieces one by one including the handle. Ravenaire has seen many foes slashed, wars fought, weaklings subdued in its presence and now as she stands over the smelting pot, she throws the pieces into it melting it down back to where it once came from.

It was time for her to get a new primary weapon, but from the metal of the old. It was a lot of metal to work with and not forgetting the old sword-smithing skills handed down from viking traditions, she poured the molten metal in not one, but two molds. Forging the two pieces, she has made two new weapons, one short sword to act as her "sidearm" and the new primary weapon, a huge, double-bladed battle axe. After letting set and putting the final touches, it was time for her to try it out.

With her mighty muscles tensed and her breathing heavy, she takes her new axe and swings into the nearest tree and it cuts through like a hot knife through butter. But one tree wasn't enough. She wants to take a whole forest down with one blade. It was an enduring workout for her and a grueling test for her new toy feeling the strike travel into her arms was a great feeling. At the end of the day, over a thousand trees were brought down and the blade was only a hundredth the way of being re-sharpened again.

Truely it showes her skills haven't waned and it passed the test. But her muscles really show off, barely able to contain themselves in her new red-leather attire. She's ready to get herself back in action again. The world has grown boring again since her recovery of the forgotten war. It's time for her to spice things up again for Launa is back!

That's the story I had in mind when I first laid my eyes on this pic and I blame for perpetuating the idea when he finally submitted that commission done back in 2011. I commissioned a neat artist that's great with forms and figures Bigdad123 on FA as part of 4 inkworks from him. Get used to it folks for this will be her new look. The dress, on occasion but the focus is the one from this years Halloween pic, that's the new dress, now I needed the loincloth for it.
