After all those images of Aria, I decided to go back to good ole' Xeranad. I wanted to give everyone an up close shot of his mask. Originally it had a more skull like appearance, but, when combined with the rest of the elements of his outfit, someone told me he looked too much like Ghost Rider. So, I tweaked the design, and this was the result. I personally think it looks creepier than a skull.I threw in Xeranad below to give everyone a view of how he looks normally: dark violet cloak covering his body, the flame like color around his neck, the bone white mask covered with red markings, as well as his snow white hair and opal eyes. All of this equals the creepiest appearance I could come up with... and he's wearing armor underneath that cloak.

Actually, he reminds me more of Aku from Samurai Jack, what with the cloak clinging to him like a wet black rag.

I've been constantly modifying, redesigning, perfecting his character into the villain you see in this picture. For the last couple years, he has gone through many different changes, starting off as a small throw away idea, a simple assassin, then moving up into the role of dark lord. There, he found his true character... a callous, creative, and intelligent monster, who possesses power and isn't shy on displaying it. He created an army of creatures that are loyal to him, and proceeded to take over the world of Relanisia, one settlement at a time. Sad news is... he's winning. He already controls half of the world, the elves have fought him to a stalemate, but he is bidding his time, waiting for an opportunity to present itself...
I wanted a character who could be an active threat... and this was the result.

Xeranad may be a monsterous character, but he isn't above aiding others when the need arises. His viewpoints may clash with others (he goes by a somewhat warped version of Nietzche's philosophy), but he is pretty tolerant of others, and as long as they do not hinder him, he gets along with those he works with rather well... Just because you're evil doesn't mean you can't help others out, even if it's in the interest of self preservation or a desire to obtain more power.

Yeah, pretty much. Just as long as they don't get in his way of his goal (both short term and long term goals, he is rather vicious when he has an obstacle in his way).

I have mentioned him a lot on Gaia, but I haven't been there in what feels like ages... I've been busy with college and stuff. Sorry bout that. Xeranad appears wherever I go, as does the rest of his comrades... if you can call them that. Xeranad is the leader of the group usually, but will let others take the lead when he finds it advantageous. He's an opportunist.

By all means, come on in. I'm sad to say that we've gone through the story so much that you joining it may cause a bit of a setback, but there are other stories. You can even make one yourself, if you wish. Just get permission from a moderator and read the rules carefully.

It's what makes him who he is. The creepy factor is one thing that shows what a dark lord is. He doesn't need to be imposing physically, he just needs to look the part. And he looks the part better than certain other dark lords...

I never could understand why they made Ganon a giant pig. All I see from that is gluttony and greed... not anger and pride. Those two elements are what make Xeranad the twisted monster that he is in the Shadow War, but Ganon is just a pig... what's he gonna do? Give me H1-N1? Ha!
*Xeranad draws blade and stares at Ganon with a hungry look in his eyes*... "Hmmm... how does pork sound for dinner? Maybe bacon? Ham? Of, the possibilities are endless..."
