Color phase.It was a very tough decision on whether to actually have Sonic represent Runners, but ultimately, I went with Gothic Amy for a variety of reasons besides personal preference.
As of this moment, Gothic Amy (and by extension, the rest of the alternate versions of various characters) has only ever been in the Original Runners, and to be honest, I feel like she's more reflective of the amount of time I personally put into the game (Lemme just say actually unlocking her was a very complex process...)
That said, by this point, the original Sonic Runners is no longer in service, it has since been rebooted under Gameloft as Sonic Runners Adventure, which so far, seems to have averted much of its premium Microtransaction Mire for a flat fee like Super Mario Run, though at the moment of this post, it's got a lot to catch up to in functions...
