<3 I'm working on my fursona, and shes very similar.. but a fox, im not the best artist but im making due until i figure out everything I want. Any tips for someone who just started getting into the furry fandom? :3

Katrina is basically a fox now... more fox with slight adds from other breeds of dog.

As a recent newbie myself, my only advise is to come up with a range of designs and pick something special to you for a fursona..example with kat..she's purple blue and white-3 of my 4 favourite colours...she has long fur, certain marks on her that belonged to special dogs in my life... followed by other things i liked personally.

But she wasn't my first fursona...I had two others....a Snow Leopard called Harley and a Chimera called Arrowlyn... just play with designs till you come up with something your happy with...and don't worry.. normally it takes more then one design before you pick the one you want... an even after years of having them, the design is likely to change

Awesome! Thank you so much for the advice! I keep finding little things I want to add, but I'm worried they'll be "too much" Like.. I want a set of wings that are somewhat withered a broken, but also sugar glider flaps so that I can go FWOOSH! *opens my arms and you can see the lil flaps* :3 and like... lots of designs on me as well. I'm just afraid I'm throwing too much too fast, I like the way I see it in my head, I just don't know if its Viable or even allowed xD

well logically wings and sugar glider flaps would collide considering if you look at the difference between them... ones made for continuous movement when flying the other just lets you jump a short distance, hope you catch the wind and glide...so why not have two designs ..one with gliding flaps and one with wings

Now design wise always keep in mind you'll want to draw redraw this character over and over again and most likely want to get art done of this character. So do what you think is good otherwise K.I.S.S (keep it simple stupid) sometimes the best designs are the ones with less.... but thats not to say there isn't complicated designs out there xD its just a matter of do you want them to be complicated to the fact you keep for getting parts ( it happens i know i keep forgetting marks on my semi complicated character design-an you normally notice after you finish the picture @.@) or do you want to keep it nice and simple

thats why i say to make multiple designs and pick from there, cause sometimes whats in your head looks completely different once you draw it Oo an theres no rules on saying you can't have more then one fursona

thank you so much for the advice! ^~^ I have multiple saves of her with different designs and such, and still making more because I will find something else I like. I'm just trying to find "The one". The one that speaks out to me and I look at it and go "That's it!" I'm close, but got lots more work haha!
