"It's finally our day", a young blonde haired boy whispered to Clemence Wright as they were standing next to each other, waiting to be called in to a big meeting room. "I can't believe we're becoming members of Special Forces", the boy, Louis Phoenix, continued. Clemence nodded and toyed with her brown hair nervously. Clemence and Louis were going to be a part of the group of the most skillful and strongest fighters in SPRC, Supernatural Phenomenon Research Centre. The name didn't tell the whole truth, because it wasn't only a research centre, but it was also a company that fought against monsters etc. And Special Forces were the group that took care of the most powerful and dangerous creatures. The other members of Special Forces were Louis' big brother Alexander Phoenix, Abegail Miracle, Bonnie Moore and Blake Judy. Alexander and Abegail were the captains. Clemence straightened her clothes. Soon they would be something that everyone in SRPC wanted to be. And they were only 19 years old!

"Mister Louis Phoenix and miss Clemence Wright, please come in."

Two years passed quickly. Clemence and Louis had learned everything they needed to know about guns, their elements, monsters and stuff. Clemence had fast became an electricity master, since it was also her element. Louis had been doing a lots of research on monsters, so he was the one who knew the most of them. And like his big brother Alexander's, his element was fire. Abegail's was earth, Bonnie could read minds and sneak into someone's mind and Blake's was water.

Everyone in the Special Forces had known each other ever since their childhood. Blake had been a part of their little friend gang a shorter time than the others, because his family had moved to Columbus when he had been five. At first he had been shy, but Louis had went to talk to him and ever since that day the two had been best friends. Clemence's closest friends were Abegail and Bonnie, even though they both were three years older than her. They were the oldest in the group, then came Alexander and Blake and Louis and Clemence were the youngest. It was funny that all of them were in Special Forces, but maybe you could call that fate?

People that worked for SPRC weren't normal humans; they had secret powers. They weren't fully human, usually they were 97% human. Their parents or at least the other parent wasn't a pure human either, so it was inherited. The Special Forces' members were only 90% human, which automatically made them very special.

The boss of SPRC was a short and chubby man whose name was Ivan Galipova. He was very nice, but when he got angry he was scary. And he liked to curse in Russian. Ivan's wife wasn't any taller than he was and her name was Evgenya. She had a long, long red hair that she never cut. People had their own important things... Alexander's and Louis' father, Matthew Phoenix, was working in SPRC too, and actually almost their whole family was. Except for their brother Thomas and their cousins. Clemence's parents had died in a car crash when he was 15, but they used to work there too. She was raised by her aunt, who was a florist. Blake's family wasn't like him, they were normal people, so they didn't work there. Blake wasn't originally like he was now, he used to be a normal kid, until his DNA was manipulated and he was changed into something else. Bonnie's parents worked in SPRC, and so did Abegail's.

Clemence was walking in the hallway that she and Louis had waited in two years ago. It brought memories in her mind and she wanted to smile. Becoming a member had been a very big thing back then, and at first she had been very excited, but now all the work was already normal.

"Clemence!" someone shouted behind her. It was Abegail. "Mister Galipova has some important news to Special Forces. Come into his office." As Clemence walked quickly towards Galipova's office, she wondered what the news were? Maybe a new mission? Aliens? Ghosts? Clemence loved everything that was exciting, so she hoped the news were too.

When she entered the room, the others were standing in a straight line and she quickly joined in. Ivan Galipova was staring silently at them. Clemence noticed that the others were moving nervously. She wanted to ask them if they knew anything, but she thought it was better to be quiet. Ivan walked forward so that he was standing right in front of the members of Special Forces. "Do you have any clue why I invited you here today?" he asked and looked furious. It made Clemence fear that they had done something wrong. "Umm, no", Alexander Phoenix said carefully. "Then it's my time to tell you!" Ivan pointed at a map that was hanging on the wall. "Many of our bases have been noticing something that is worrying me. And we have too. " Now Clemence couldn't wait for Ivan to tell the news... "This might sound cheesy, but it's true. Monsters are invading the Earth." Ivan had said that so casually that it would have been amusing if Clemence didn't know Ivan. But still, monsters invading Earth? "Are you sure, mister Galipova?" Bonnie asked. "I am, I am very sure. Los Angeles' base has received threads written on walls with blood and they have been seeing things", Ivan said. "But why now?" Alexander questioned, and Ivan turned to look at him. "This situation has been on for years now. But we just never noticed it." Okay, Clemence had wished for something exciting, but this was already too much. And why the monsters wanted to rule the world? "Unfortunately I don't know anything else, but you guys... Stopping their mission is your mission."
