Bookworm Birdie. A lil’ something to celebrate her new cutiemark.
It’s not the best Cutiemark out there but I’m not a graphic design person. ;; It represents everything near and dear to my heart: Toys/puppets, animals, books, illustration, Christianity and motherly love.

Cutiemark Explanation:

What really spurred the decision to give her a cutiemark in the first place was The Maiden with Azure Hair (known better as The Blue Fairy) from Pinocchio. I really wanted to be her someone like her. She hangs out with animals and living toys, and I love her motherly, loving and patient nature with just a liiil’ mischievousness thrown in. Including books in the cutiemark was an obvious choice for me seeing as she originates from Pinocchio. I also wanted to show just how much influence books had on my life. They represent my love of reading and professional goal to become an illustrator. The book in front represents the Bible (I didn’t want to put a cross, it seemed like a bit of overkill to the design) with the other two representing some of my favorite books Watership Down and The Hobbit.
