Stunning use of light, motion and colour. Immediately the blurred background, falling leaves and whistling wind conveys this very lively atmosphere to the scene; this strong sense of motion adds quite the impact to the image. The slight distortion in the perspective also reinforces this effect.
The rustic textures used on the ground and, again, the plentiful use of blur around the forest really reinforce this sense of energy, further piling dynamic to the piece.
However, the forest still retains its peaceful and serene nature with the use of that vibrant green despite the turbulent surrounding. That colour brightness really conveys quite the up-beat tone to the setting, and the falling leaves as well as implying movement applies the beautiful effect of falling leaves.
The light used within this image is particularly amazing and I feel as if it really makes the scene breathtaking. The strong light highlights the landscape's features very strongly, particularly the trees and the figures, sharpening the look of the image substantially. This effect is also carried on with the bold forms of the trees, distinctly expressing their stature. The slight perspective distortion from the motion works very nicely with this, heightening the powerful shapes.
Not only is the light's impact quite captivating, but paired with the theme of stealth around the characters, the way their dark garments suddenly block out the backlight works very nicely to reinforce the theme.
In particular, the main figure in the immediate foreground not only has a beautiful highlight, but the gradually brightening ground transitioning between a dark, dirty mud to a bright light reinforces the way he looks into the crowd - it's almost as if the light symbolises a new destination, a new path, like they are leaving behind the mottled darkness from where they came.
This notion conveys quite the awesome, ambitious atmosphere, as if this were the scene of a new beginning waiting to happen.
The composition does wonders for this as well, and with the use of the mentioned transitioning colour and light, the focal point of the image is made on both the central figure and the light. I feel as if the attention put on the character's gaze is very captivating and holds quite the intrigue, expanding on the depth and meaning of the image a lot.
Again, simply stunning use of motion to set the scene's atmosphere; the posture of all the elements in the image in relation to the light really makes this piece a story as well as an artwork. Serene and beautiful, yet powerful and ambitious.
