* You can add accessories, a cutie mark, a backstory...
* You can change little details like coat color, a color in the mane, an acessory, eye color, slightly alter the manestyle,... But no major changes.

Just wondering, if you're keeping a foal why not just crop it out of a batch? Some people who can be...a bit butthurt (sorry for lack of better term) would be disappointed to see that you already claimed it. If you don't want to crop it out, may I suggest something like this:

People that know me know how my jokes are. People that don't, won't be offended just because of that, and could just open their eyes and see the "XD" under it. Which means that I WAS KIDDING ^^ It's just the way my humour is. I just remembered the scene in "Return to harmony" where Rarity defends the rock she saw as a gem and says something like that, so I found it funny to throw it as a joke.
I'm sorry if you were personally offended by my description, and I think you shouldn't take it too seriously. But no one forced you to adopt from me, and you're free to block me or unwatch me, or just not to adopt from me anymore ^^

If you hate your behaviour so much, you can think about the best possible reaction to do before you do anything, so you wouldn't regret it later, and would act that way next time and feel good about how you reacted instead c:

I think my rules are pretty fine. I've seen more commanding rules. Nothing is new or unreasonable in them.

If someone buys an adopt from you. They legally own it. You can't have it back for free because they don't use it. They can technically do whatever they want with it. whether they tell you or not. You may be loosing customers with this rule.

I can have it back if they choose to give it back because they want a better home for it; I won't be randomly running around taking people's characters back. And I have the right to take it back if they are misusing it or something; There are limits and exceptions to everything. I never forced people to buy from me.
Plus, Most of the rules are just guidelines, I already said it.

You....can't take it back if someone is misusing it. It's their's they legally own it if you take it that is stealing....And how would you go about misusing an adopt?
And again, I don't really want to fight about it, I just think You'll loose customers this way.
I've spoken to many people who have this rule and they agreed they hadn't really thought it through and it made sense to have a better rule like.
"If you find you're not using it talk to me and I'll buy it back. Or talk to me first if you're reselling it"

I can take it back if they are miusing it and refusing to stop.
I never allowed resells, and I don't always have the points to buy it back; and it won't be fair for the design to go to waste or worse. I only get characters back with the customer's O.K, I told you. I always ask first, and think to buy it back first, or trade for it, or make a free better custom. That's if the customer agrees the character should go to a better home.
I know you're trying to help, but it's not the way you imagine me doing it, really. So you don't have to worry about me losing customers or anything ^^

Alright, It just looks rough in the rules but I can understand having to sound tough so people abide. Also, I know I'm not responsible for that other person being rude to you but I'd still like to apologize for their behavior. Whether a troll or not they're being genuinely rude.
