Really cool image, the only thing that holds me up is the top right corner, where another building just sneaks into the frame...it's just a little distracting. But other than that I love the color, and the HDR effect.

great HDR, it doesn't look too exaggerated or anything, great angle too!

the one thing I don't like is that little piece of a building creeping up on the upper right corner...

xnoux In reply to Daniel1014 [2008-07-05 12:08:32 +0000 UTC]

yes you're right, there are also some drops in the sky... due to some dust on my lense :/

nynfortoo [2008-07-02 11:07:43 +0000 UTC]

Great use of diagonal lines there - they really add a more-dynamic feel to the image. I particularly like how the lines of the building line up with the pole, while the various signs cut across.

The traffic lights add a really nice splash of alternative colours to the scene, and stop it from being over-blue.

Great shot

i just love the mix of old and new, the hdr picks it out so nicely and the colours are fantastic. Great perspective on that tall building and warping of it with such a "tall" lampost! like it was trying to pull off a growth stunt to make itself feel older. Ataching the sign was just a blatant attempt at maturity!

xnoux In reply to Eleii [2008-07-01 19:53:17 +0000 UTC]

yeah I've been trying to master this tool since I discovered its possibilities
But this one is from a single shot so it's full of noise but the result look almost the same
thank you so much for your kind comment and I'm glad exposure bring me some nice Deviant Artists

checking out the gallery

Eleii In reply to xnoux [2008-07-01 21:59:51 +0000 UTC]

I always make single file HDRs !

I don't have a tripod and an SLR ( my compact doesn't have bracketing ), so i take one phto and play with brightness in photoshop so i can make 3 files with different exposure values, and then its all up to photomatix .

I joined exposure because i wanted to meet talented and friendly people like you. Si i guess that makes us two similar on dA. Cheers !

xnoux In reply to Eleii [2008-07-02 01:37:58 +0000 UTC]

yes I'm happy to meet you dude I'll watch your next work for sure
But you know I got a nice equipment and that helps quite... but you know if you got a nice idea you can allways get it with any camera, the point is it will be harder (I started with an IXUS40 ) so... well that's it ! make your path mate !
