Kisshu’s Love: Part Eight

The sparks flew as the three swords clashed together, Kisshu on the underside of the blade, holding it up with his daggers. Kisshu grunted slightly and pushed up, swinging his arms to the side as Aoyama- Kun backed up, his sword down in front of him, his face distorted with rage. Kisshu hovered, advancing on the Blue Knight, pointing one of the swords at his heart. The swords clashed, sending one of Kisshu’s daggers to the ground, out of reach as it slid across the floor towards Ichigo. She stared at it with wonder, bending down to pick it up to examine it. She felt around, touching the engravings, until she felt a certain rigid part. She turned it over to find in tiny, chicken scratch writing “Ichigo, my kitten. I’ll always fight for you.” She gasped, covering her mouth. She was touched, seeing yet another display of Kisshu’s affection towards her. A clang, and she looked up. The Blue Knight had Kisshu in a death hold. Both swords were gone now. Kisshu was facing in Ichigo’s direction. He had a bloody lip and there was a large cut on the left side of his face. His ponytails had fallen out, the red hair bands lying on the ground. Out of options, Kisshu reacted on pure instinct when Aoyama went to stab him. He raised his sword, and then dropped like a sack of potatoes when Kisshu punched him square in the jaw.

“Agh!” He winced, kneeling down. His back was to Ichigo, and she had picked up the other dagger. “Kish!” she yelled, tossing him the sword with her name on it. He grabbed it with ease, smiling at her evilly, a fang out. He raised his dagger above Masaya’s back, while he was unaware. He looked at Ichigo for approval, but she shook her head no. He reluctantly lowered the short sword, but quickly pointed it at Masaya’s face. With a quick swipe, he grabbed Kisshu’s arm, twisting him around to a full nelson hold. Kisshu grunted with effort to get away, but he couldn’t move. He couldn’t teleport because he needed free space to move. The Blue Knight took the sword in his right hand and dug it into Kisshu’s back. Kisshu cried out in pain, struggling to get away. “KISSHU!!!” Ichigo yelled, crying hysterically. He stabbed him once more, leaving him motionless on the ground. “MEW MEW STRAWBERRY, METAMORI-PHO-SIS!!” The pink haired cat girl appeared in front of Masaya, blocking his path to Kisshu’s death. “NO!!” she screamed, feeling every emotion pouring out of her. She was crying so hard, her vision blurred and her head hurt. All she could see was a blur of blue and yellow in front of her an green and dark red on the ground. “Ichigo…” she heard from behind her in a whisper. She darted over to Kisshu, lying next to him, sobbing uncontrollably. “Ichigo, you can do it. I’ll be fine, I promise you.” He smiled weakly at her. “Kill him,” he whispered, and teleported away to Ichigo’s house.

The bloodstained hallway was eerily quiet as the two stood there, ready for battle. “Ichigo, how could you?” Masaya said angrily. “I love him!” she yelled back, tears flying to the sides of her onto the ground. “No, you love me, remember?” he tried to say sweetly. “No! I love Kisshu! He’s always been there for me! I’ve always loved him! There’s nothing you can do about it ether!” she stepped forward. “STRAWBERRY BELL!” Ichigo spun in the air, a rainbow ribbon swirling her, as she cried out: “RI-BBON STRAWBWRRY SURPRISE!!” The sparkly cloud of death surrounded Masaya, and he fell to the ground, unconscious. She grabbed the other dagger across the hall, looking for any other certain engravings. She found another that read: “Even if I die trying. I love you, Koneko- Chan.” She bit her lip, then walked back over to Masaya. He lay on the ground, breathing slowly. She raised the dagger high, then, with hatred and much force, stabbed Aoyama- Kun through the back. He yelled in pain, twitching slightly. She then took her Strawberry Bell and placed it to his back, the fast-bleeding hole in the middle. She pressed hard, crying, causing a white light to shine brightly, making him scream with pain writhing. She removed the heart shaped weapon, revealing a burn on his back in the shape of a heart. She then picked up the dagger and quickly dashed away, leaving a dying Aoyama- Kun on the scuffed, bloodstained floor.

Ichigo returned to her house, unstably emotional. She jumped up through her window to find Kisshu on her bed, sleeping, a cloth wrapped tightly around his midriff, covering it for once. He laid on his side, facing the opposite wall, his white, bandaged back to her. The blood had begun to soak through. She climbed through the window, careful not to make a sound. She landed with perfect, catlike ease on the floor in front of her bed. She was inches away from his peaceful face. His steady breathing was hypnotizing. She stood up, touching her pendant, changing back into her school uniform. She quickly ran to the bathroom, grabbing more bandages and returning to find him trying to sit up. She ran over to him to help him. “Koneko- Chan,” he started, but she put her finger to his mouth. “Shhh,” she whispered. “I’ll fix it” She placed more bandages around his waist, double checking to see if it was enough. The open window went a warm breeze through the room. Her curtains fluttered, tickling the back of her neck. “Ichigo, you’re so pretty when you smile,” he said, smiling back at her. “Thank you, kitten.” He laid back down on the bed and quickly fell back asleep.

Ichigo called her mother from her cell phone from the bathroom, telling her that she would be “staying with Purin to help her out today”. Her mother agreed, and Ichigo went back to her room, sitting down at her desk, watching Kisshu sleep. Soon, she became tired as well. She didn’t think it would hurt to sleep next to him, so she crawled into the bed and lied down in front of him. He instantly wrapped his arm around her. “You’re hair smells nice,” he said, a smile in his voice. “Kisshu!” she yelped, and sat up. “Are you felling better yet?” “Much, actually,” he replied, lying. He couldn’t stand to see her face so worried for much longer. It upset him to see her like that. “Hey, honey, if you’re tired, you can just come sleep with me.” He smiled, showing a fang, making her blush. “I am, actually. But I don’t want to bother you.” She glanced at the clock. It read 9:30. He looked at her, realizing she actually was very tired. He didn’t want to make her uncomfortable, so he reluctantly agreed. “Well, I’ll leave, then and you can sleep, my kitten.” He stood up and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her tenderly. The world seemed to stop with this one. She kissed back, this time with eager. He fell back onto the bed, kissing her back repeatedly. She wrapped her arms around him, making him wince, but he didn’t care. Unfortunately for him, Ichigo didn’t want to hurt him. She backed off. “I’ll go,” he said seductively, his face inches from hers. She blushed a deep scarlet as he disappeared out the window.

Ichigo quickly went to go change into her pajamas, the same strawberry ones she wore the night before. She searched through her drawer for a new par of underclothes. From outside, Kisshu sat on the roof. The cold air was soothing on his back. The moon was a bright crescent. He closed his eyes, letting the silence take him away with his sweet memories of the few minutes earlier. Suddenly, the silence was broken by an angry, but hysterical shrill from Ichigo: “ ‘KISSHU WAS HERE’? KISSHU!!!!” He laughed loudly to himself, loving every minute of it.
