Description
There are two known varieties of Alder, commonly known as Earth Alder and Air Alder, but scholars claim their native names translate better as "The Created of the Earth" and "The Created of the Sky". They share a solar system, but little else, and the two planets have had tense, if not outright hostile, relations ever since first contact.~

I wanted to draw Efaer and Iione, and I wanted to expand on the Alder side of Cyberworld, so all is accomplished accordingly!
It is unlikely that Efaer and Iione would actually ever get into a sword duel, but they are my two main Alder and are here merely representing their various races. Efaer was originally designed by KingConniption - kingconniption.deviantart.com/…

You know, I thought that the animation would be a whole lot better than this just on the merit of it being an animation... but I really like this picture. The lines are so crisp and nice, and the colors so vibrant, even though it's such a dark and gloomy sort of night. I love the outfits and everything about Mr. Orange, like his golden wings on his outfit. Those are so pwetty.
The background is really cool. I'm noticing those little hills in the far back, which makes it look more like they're out in some abandoned plains, which I didn't notice before. It makes it seem more... lonely somehow, which I like.

Unfortunately I can't claim credit for the designs of the characters, but they sure were fun to draw.
I was actually concerned the colors were a bit too muted after the fact (I've got another version somewhere with the saturation and contrast adjusted to make it more colorful), but I've come to think this version is better anyway. Like you said, the dark and gloominess makes the brighter colors more vibrant.
Yay, you got the plains feeling! My backgrounds tend to be a bit vague, but at least this one worked.
