There were three of us back then. Me, Tsuyake and Sakabura. Sakabura was always the practical one, as well as the best of all of us with a zanpakuto. He was the oldest, as well, and first to graduate. Despite my being older then Tsuyake, we always assumed she would graduate before me. I might have been decent at Kido, but she was like a master. And she was a noble.
Then there's me. I believe the only reason I was graduated on time was because Mayuri Taicho wanted me for his division... otherwise I would definitely have been last. I didn't even know my Zanpakuto's name back then...

Kagemaru and his two academy friends. As is obvious, I am still fiddling around with Kagemaru's design, and the names/appearances of his two friends are far from set.

{Update} I am still fiddling around with appearance and swords, so this one is non-canonical as far as release words and the girl's haircolor is concerned. Check the newer pictures as they come out here - [link]
