I love it! This was going to be my next project to do, but at the moment I'm going to remake my Goku outfit... Plus making the chains and fun stuff for when Sanzo first meets Goku in his cell. ^,^... XD But I'm using my natural hair... Do you have suggestions on gel? Cause mine desided not to work anymore...It kinda sucks... alot...

thank you! unless your hair is reeeeeally thick, I'd recommend using at least a partial wig. (mine's a half wig I altered/constructed myself) but I have done Goku's style with just my hair.
my hair is pretty fine so it didn't work fantastically, but I used Ice hair gel (comes in a blue tube) and hair spray (either Aussie or Aqua net, I believe) for both when I did it with just my hair and when I used my wig hair too. to make your spikes stick up, just remember to put a lot of gel product (not so much that it's chunky/visible, though) at the base of the spikes, and use sparingly on the spikes themselves. hair spray and blow dry upside down.
your best bet is to do a practice trial before the con and see what works for your hair type. hope something i said helps. good luck! <3

I used pliers to craft frames out of lightweight construction wire, then I shaped ActiveMesh* (which is like craft chicken wire. you can get it at any craft/art supply store) to make the ridged/curved shell. I covered the frame in papier mache, and while it was still wet, I pressed the bone claws into the ridges so when it dried, they'd fit. The bone claws were from Halloween cave man jewelry. XD After the papier mache was dry, I painted it beige and green, and glued in the bone claws. ta daa! custom Goku shoulder guards.

why thank you! the ears were bought and i colored them, and I made the hair piece myself, outta starch, felt, wig, glue, gel, and accidental fires. yes, fire. lol glad you enjoyed.
