Did you actually read this story? Because if you did, you see that it ended REALLY badly for Mystique: slowly bleeding to death in the desert, with Wolverine walking away, and Raven crying:
"This isn't over! You don't have the guts to finish me! I'll see you in hell, Logan! You hear me you bastard? Logan! LOGAN! Lo...gan....."
