I think it's mostly people who are in strong denial/hypocritical mode.
The dynamic is as follows:
1) I'm into strange stuff.
2) People don't like people who are into strange stuff.
3) So I must suppress my love for strange stuff so that I keep being acceptable to others.
4) I feel the conflict in me, I feel that I'm in denial
5) So let's suppress even more by attacking other people who are into strange stuff so that we can feel "normal" and "above it all".

So this is two years later after my previous comment. My opinion has changed and here is why.
I am not personally into yiff, Im not going to say I have never been curious at what the "draw" to it is or why people are sexually interested in it at all. So I thought I would test my luck at it and see if I found anything interesting. If you are in the furry fandom long enough you are going to see it, there is no question to that. But, actually looking for it is a whole different story.
Some of it was the absolute most depraved and disgusting shit I could find. I mean, really? words couldn't describe how weird I felt looking at this, I needed to scrub my browser clean with acid afterwards.
But then there was a second side. I had partaken in a few roleplays, didn't really get anything physical out of it, but some of them were pretty good stories, and perhaps I even found some of it hot? But that's where it confused me. I felt sort of ashamed. Bestiality is a crime, disgusting, and I would have to say morally wrong. Its essentially raping animals in my mind. Which is why even the slightest interest in this made me feel wrong, but now I dont really think so.

Im not going to deny I have had some really good more perverse roleplays (Stepping away from furry talk for this moment) And yes IN THAT WAY but its not how I spend my days, I dont lust over the next time ill be able to virtually fuck someone, its just a now and then thing between two consenting individuals. My Girlfriend does it, I do it. We are both faithful healthy people. Porn is not bad, its just what it is. Porn. This is to raise the question: Does that mean all porn is good? (= Not wrong) NO There are some things that are just to far, Pedophilia, Necrophilia, Bestiality ect ect.
Yiff in my mind is like pot. Some people claim it to be a gateway drug to more hardcore things, others see it as a harmless thing that may just be undesirable or maybe even so. Does that make it bad? Thats up to you. As far as I understand pot has no real dangerous qualities to people aside from those who use it (And maybe those around them if they become unresponsive or uncaring, but I dont believe there has ever been a physical effect documented) Some people take it to far, Like in a ven diagram there are people who like Yiff, and people who like Bestiality. Yes, there is a crossing point, some of which may have originally come from yiff and eventually got into a different way.
The same goes for Furry fandom, Some people just think Anthros are really cool okay? Is that so hard to believe? And others are into yiff, even others, are into bestiality. there is a wide range of likes and dislikes. They all have similarities but that does not mean one equals the other.

I personally like yiff, but really, its not animals! And I can prove it in one easy swoop: Even though they are mythical blah blah blah, in the supposed world of furries they are obviously intelligent. And if they are intelligent, they can consent to sex. So, if they can consent to sex, its not beastiality, beause they are no longer animals. They are just anthros :/
I dont really wanna argue, its just the cold hard facts here. Animals cant consent, they are simply (practically at any rate, I love animals but its more or less true) slaves to thier hormones and instincts when it comes to mating. So, at any rate, this is my opinion and my evidence backing up my "theory" for lack of a better term.
Its fine you guys dont like yiff, Im fine with that, but you dont need to troll on other peoples stamps about it. I... understand yiff and hate it. It's not cool to be into beastality, and the furries who disagree to this is are just in denial. If you look at it for what it is, you can see it for what it really is; beastiality.
It's a furry wolf, a furry cat; it has ears, all of its fur, a snout, paws, tail, fangs... it's an animal you have drawn in which can standing upright; it's an animal, you are being sexually stimulated by it, you are into beastiality.
Furries who draw it because they like animals, that's alright. The second you are drawing porn for it however... you need to stop going down to the farm for your latest fix of cow sperm

Furry... is beastiality, it's two -animals- getting it on, and a furry is turned on by that. If it were two anthro, human with tails and ears, that's perfectly alright; they are still human. Depending on what it is the anthro artist is doing, it's a completly different story.
Two anthro together is not beastality, they are still the same creature. A human being how ever finding that stimulating is beastiality, why? because it's an animal, no matter how you turn it about.

I want to be an animal as well, but sexualising them? I know that's how some people want to be, but sinking that low? I have nothing wrong with anthro / furry, I think drawing animals like that is pretty fun... but I draw the line as having them doing each other.
That said, drawing them flirting and so on because that's who they are as a character is okay, at least you're staying true to who they are as you have designed them... but doing it for pleasure is just... as you've said as an example 'disgusting'.
Tech' two animals together is not beastality, but it is when you are being turned on by drawing / looking at it. It's not that I have something against it, it's just annoying when people deny what it actually is. I'd probably have more respect for them if they'd stop hiding behind silly shields, for example: 'you don't understand' or 'they're anthromorphic'... that's not a proper arguement.

I think it depends on the morals being torn at, and so on.
For example, if you're born and you dislike people for being black... should people accept that just because you were born differently...
I know, for some it's a decidion, but if you grew up around racism, then you sort of have it inprinted into your mind to also be racist, and it's hard to disconnect yourself from that.
It's the same with beastality, you grow up being told / shown that it's wrong to have sexual relations with an animal, and so seeing yiff you feel that it is immoral. For me, I think yiff is immoral and shouldn't exist.
Furries and anthro drawers however have every right to draw, write and exist if they so choose to draw animals as their art form. Just as long as they are not idolising animals as a sexual image.

Ahh... Well, to be honest it depends what it is your parents are trying to teach you is wrong.
Teaching your child that racism is right is a horrible thing to do, but teaching them that you shouldn't sleep with animals is a good thing to do. Your child shouldn't be attempting any sort of sexual interaction with animals anyway.
Furries, in most cases, don't go near real animals... but without that knowledge of right and wrong, where's the bar between finding real animals attractive, and anthros?
If parents didn't teach their child that beastiality is wrong then who's to say that that child takes their interests in say dogs to the next level without thinking about it.
People have said that their thing for furries is okay, and without being told real animals are no acception may prosume that it's okay to sleep with actual creatures in real life.
