Fffff what do i say…. this is some giftart for the lovely ! Its her OC Kurry <3 She always leaves me the nicest comments~ a great friend and artist ^^ and she deserves more giftart lolGahhhh my hand hurts…
Fffff this was fun to draw… ;u; I was listenin to like… nice peaceful sad music and like i started crying a little cuz i was just like Thank you God for giving me an oppertunity to draw… Drawings the best thing in my life…

the eye is massive and takes up a lot of space. Almost looks as if you couldn't fit another one in that head. shadows/shading is too light to notice and doesn't add any shape and definition to the piece, it also doesn't seem to follow a consistent light source. Also the eye lacks an outline unlike the rest of the character and so it's inconsistent with that and seems to fade into the rest of the eye which makes it seem dead and lifeless.

it's good to see you've thought about it. I always find it helps to plan out any anatomy before going in to detail, because it's all too easy to make a mistake that's hard to redo if you've already coloured and everything. So with the head i would do that, just plan it out a bit so you know what it would look like with both eyes.
With the black outline on the eyes, I can see how it would look like how you said. I think if there was a black pupil in the centre it would probably remedy that.
and with colours and shading and all that, it does take a while to get a feel for it. What i would say don't worry to much about changing the hue when you want to add a darker or lighter shaded area. Like with skin tones, if you have a skin tone that's heading towards a yellowish colour, it might not look quite right, but it's the same if it's too red. But, if you use both, lighter yellower colours for light areas, and more red ones for darker areas, it often looks quite natural. A lot more than just making the same tone darker or lighter.
finally shading should follow the shape of the object. If you have a point of light in the picture, try to think about how it would light up the areas in that picture. it's good practice to start out with some basic shapes and try to get a feel for how light hits things.
I find it's sometimes easier to start from darker shades and then use lighter ones. If it's done right it really adds a lot of depth to the piece. Also don't be afraid of contrasting colours.
