Zareen knew her chances of winning the fight against Zarriss were slim to none so she hid her egg away only telling the three other people of the party she was with of it's location, she hoped that if she were to die she could at least buy her child time to hatch and then figure out how to defeat Zarriss as a sort of back up plan
Unfortunately Zareen and another member of the party perished in the fight but they were able to at least seal Zarriss in a rift between realities
