A/N: Hello! I'm back... once again with my friend to write a Kingdom Hearts fanfiction.. I'm only on the first game so please bear me the.. oh how do I put it..? Please spare me the harshness.. My friend is going to help me (Shugo-Knight13.) So here (we) go and enjoy!

Not Alone.. Anymore...

Prolouge:

As Sora came up to his redhead, many thoughts were going through his mind. 'We're back... Finally home," he thought to himself. He stopped in front of Kairi, and pulled something out of his pocket. He smiled and lifted his hand up to show her his precious object and kept it there. For a moment, he felt Roxas take over and he felt the happiness within Roxas blossom out. He could tell Namine and Roxas were gonna cherish the moment. As he felt Roxas slip back inside him, he looked at Kairi again.

His smile was glowing,"W-We're back."

Kairi smiled back,"You're home." She held out her hand.

Sora smiled and locked his hands with Kairi with their charm in between the both of them. Riku stood aside and had a smirk pulling at his lips, while King Mickey smiled along with the rest of the crowd.

Chapter 1: Needed Once Again

"I wanted to tell you right away... about memories from the past that sleep within you, and... about the pieces that will tie you to your future. Sora, Riku, Kairi... The truth behind the Keyblade has found it's way throught so many people, and now I know that it rests in your hearts. Sora... You are who you are because of those people, but they're hurting, and you're the only one who can end their sadness. They need you. It's possible that all your journeys so far have been preparing you for this great new task that is waiting for you. I should have known there were no coincidences- only links in a much larger chain of events. And now the door to your next journey... is ready to be opened." - Mickey

As Sora, Riku, and Kairi stare of into the sunset... they wonder where their next journey will take them, and who are these new people they might meet. For the next few weeks the island is silent.. until a gummi ship appears on Destiny Islands. Selphie, being the first to notice this odd shaped thing, yelled loud enough for the entire island to hear. Within moments everyone was on the beach facing the gummi ship. Riku notices that the shape of this so called thing is a gummi ship. It had a particular symbol on the side... the head of a mouse.

"Sora! Kairi!" Riku called.

"Yes?" The extremely close friends chimed in simultaneously.

"Look.. a gummi ship.. Looks like King Mickey." Riku replied, contemplating why Sora and Kairi aren't together yet.

"Mickey? He wants us.. now?"

"I don't know Sora.. I just said it looks like Mickey."

"Well..."

*gummi ship opens, revealing a masked.. person*

"I need to see Sora, Riku, and Kairi... Immediately!" the masked person inside the gummi ship boomed.

"Should we go Sora?" Kairi whispered, moving closer to the spiky haired kid.

"Whadya say Riku?" Sora glanced over to his taller friend.

"I'll check it out."

Riku approached the gummi ship with some caution. He summoned his Keyblade, Way to Dawn, and kept it at his side. The masked person stepped a bit closer, into the sunlight. Riku tightened his grip on his Keyblade. The person stepped off the gummi ship and stood, silent.

"Who are you?" Riku asked cautiously.

"I'm a friend of the king's. You're Riku.. correct?"

"Wha? Yes.. I am, how do you know my name?"

"I told you! I'm a friend of King Mickey. Where are the other two I asked for?"

"Sora, Kairi, come here.." Riku called, his eyes not leaving the masked person.

Sora and Kairi walked foward. The masked person summoned them into her ship. They went in and the door closed behind them.

"Now, why I'm here..." The masked person trailed off.

"Excuse me?" Kairi asked in almost a whisper.

"Hmm?" the masked figure faced Kairi.

"Your not going to hurt us, right?"

"Of course not! I'm a friend of the King's. I'm not here to harm you, only to bring you back to the Kingdom, if you wish to fulfill the asking of King Mickey."

"Okay..."

Riku stared at the masked stranger... the only thing visible was.. his/her eyes. They were green, and shimmered, but they had a look of sincerity and dedication. He wanted to know who this stranger was, his or her name.. etc.

"Who are you? Why are you here?" Riku asked, defense mode on.

"I'm... I- My name is Arlena. I am King Mickey's official Royal Body Guard. I'm here to, well like I said, bring you back to the Kingdom. King Mickey has asked me to see if you would check on something for him. The worlds are in turmoil... again. It seems that your world hasn't been affected... yet. I will leave the rest of the explanations to his majesty."

"I see... Well.. if the worlds are in trouble then.. I guess we don't really have a choice?..." Sora said.

"Im in!" Kairi said, cheerfully.

"Well how about you Mr. Riku?" Arlena asked.

"Just call me Riku, please... and I guess that I just can't leave my friends alone to battle... I guess I'm in too." Riku said, his eyes never leaving Arlena. To him, she had this.. this.. feeling rather, a different aura.

"Alright then! Do you need anything to bring with you?" Arlena asked.

"I'm good!"

"I'm good!"

"I'm fine..."

"Okay. Then we are off to the Kingdom."

Sora, Kairi, Riku, and Arlena arrived at the palace. King Mickey, Queen Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto were awaiting them near the entrance.

Mickey had a smile on his face upon seeing his old friends again.

"King Mickey! Reporting from my mission, as you can see Sir, I was successful. I present you Sora, Kairi, and Riku!" Arlena stood straight, her heels clicked together and gave Mickey a salute.

"At ease Arlena, fantastic and thank you. You are excused to your room until dinner." Mickey laughed at his body guard's seriousness.

"Yes Sir!" Arlena saluted once again and faced Sora and the others.

"Goodbye and see you all at dinner. She then spun on her heel and headed for her room.

"She seems very trustworthy Mickey!" Sora said.

"She is.. She is very useful and follows any order given to her. Arlena is a Keyblade wielder and she's trained in hand-to-hand combat." Mickey replied.

"How'd you find her? Did she grow up here in the kingdom?" the surprisingly silent, until now, Riku asked.

"We found her.. abandoned in Travers Town." Queen Minnie said.

"Actually, it was Donald and Goofy who found her." Mickey chimed in.

"How old was she?" Riku was getting interested now.

"I'd say.. hmm.. 4 years old. We've raised her until now.. so we've raised her for about 13 years..." Queen Minnie said. "She's very touchy on the subject though. She doesn't like to talk about it or bring it up." The Queen added.

The three of them nodded in reply to Queen Minnie's statement.

*Flashback*

It was 13 years ago. Donald and Goofy were doing some patrolling for King Mickey. It was rainy and dark, the weather was terrible that night.. it had changed rather quickly since they had arrived. Everything seemed perfect. All was quiet, all you could here was the sound of the raindrops hitting the sidewalk.

"I think we're done here Goof.." Donald said.

"Yeah.."

"whaa... whaa.. I- I want my- my Momm-my!"

"What was that?" Donald asked in surprise.

"Gawrsh Donald, sounded like a child cryin'."

"Shhh!"

"Mommy.. I.. Mommy...!"

Donald and Goofy ran around the corner from where they were previously standing. They saw a small female child sitting, in the rain, in a small sun-dress. She was drenched to the bone and was crying out for her mother. Her hair was short and brown and her earth green eyes stared at Donald and Goofy. They were reddened from the tears and she had trails of them going down her cheeks. She was looking at the both of them, speechless.

"Are you with anyone?" Donald asked.

"My mommy.. but.. but she's.. gone-e." She said, the tears returning.

"What's your name?"

"Arlena." She sniffled.

"Okay Arlena.. Goofy, call King Mickey."

Goofy called King Mickey and showed him, along with Queen Minnie, Arlena. The King ordered Donald and Goofy to bring her to the Kingdom after a short conversation with Minnie. It was decided, if Arlena didn't have any other family, the King and Queen would raise her.

*end of Flashback*

"Did you ever find out what happened to her mother?" Kairi asked, on the brink of tears.

"No, we didn't... But we think she was attacked by the Unversed.. and a lot of them." King Mickey replied.

"Unversed?" Sora asked.

"Yes, let's just say... they were a type of heartless." King Mickey replied.

"Oh, I see.." Sora said.

"Well I will have the broom escort you to your rooms for the time being. Dinner will be served shortly. See all of you there. If you need anything, Arlena is down the hall from all of your rooms." Queen Minnie said with a smile, trying to change the mood with little success.

Everyone was escorted to their rooms. First was Sora's room, then Kairi's, then Riku's. After Riku's room was Arlena's. Kairi went into Sora's room after the brooms left to talk and Riku was left alone in his room. He laid down on his bed and sighed deeply. I wonder what's wrong in the worlds now...? Riku thought. They'd only been home on Destiny Islands for a mere few weeks, until being called back by the mouse king's royal body guard. His thoughts were interruppted by a faint sound. It sounds like someone's singing...? Riku thought. He could hear Sora and Kairi talking, but this sound... it was.. it sounded sweeter. It sounded like something Riku had never heard before.

A whole new world... a dazziling place I never knew...

"Who's.. is that Arlena?" Riku thought out loud.

But when I'm way up here... It's crystal clear... That now I'm in a-

"Why'd she stop?" Riku said.

"You're needed in the King's room please." A voiced came from the hallway, addressing Arlena.

"Yes, of course."

"DINNER!" Donald called throughout the hallway.

Sora and Kairi came out of his room and Riku slowly came out of his. At this point Donald was already gone and in his place was Arlena, in a different set of clothes. Now she was wearing armor. Her face was covered still, but more was revealed than before. Her earth green eyes were staring at Riku, as if she knew something was up.

"Sir Riku..? Everything alright?" Arlena asked, back into her serious, royal guard self.

"I told you.. just call me Riku. And yes everything's fine.. Why?"

"I was wondering Sir, you looked upset. If there's something wrong please let me know or the other servants." Arlena said. "Now I shall escort all of you to the dinning hall for dinner."

Arlena lead everyone downstairs, down several hallways, and finally reached the dinning hall. Everyone was shone to their seats and sat down. King Mickey nodded as thanks to Arlena and she removed the cloth covering her face. It revealed the rest of her face, also including a smile in direction of King Mickey. Sora and Kairi were wowed at her appearance. She's... she's beautiful... Riku thought. He noticed a scar on the right side of her face. When Arlena glanced his way, Riku looked away fast.

"Riku, you were looking at my scar... correct?" Arlena asked.

"Uh.. yeah.." Riku answered a bit timidly.

"I received it when I was younger. From an Unversed..." Arlena's voice trailed off...

"From where?" Kairi asked, out of nowhere.

Sora hit Kairi lightly on the shoulder, as if to shush her.

"It's alright.. I.. I don't mind Sir Sora."

"Okay.."

"When I was... oh wow... um... around 4 I think.. My parents left me in Travers Town. I became an orphan. The Unversed were all around town. I was small back then and I couldn't do anything, defense wise. I was sitting on the ground somewhere in 3rd District and..."

"It's okay Arlena, you don't have to continue.." Queen Minnie rose from her seat and walked up to Arlena's side.

"It's okay Milady."

"Alright."

"And... I was brutally attacked by the Unversed. There must have been 100 of them at the least. I managed to leave unharmed... except for the wound on my face. Hours later, I'm guessing, I was found by Donald and Goofy and brought here to the Kingdom. I've been under the care of His and Her Majesty." Arlena flashed a thankful smile towards Mickey and Minnie. "I've been training as hard as possible to repay them back, as being their bodyguard. I've become a Keyblade master and I'm training day in, day out to do my best as possible for them. They practically are my parents." Arlena said.

King Mickey and Queen Minnie smiled at each other.

"Now enough of my blabbering, I'll leave you all to eat." Arlena said about to leave.

"Why don't you eat with us?" Sora asked.

"I already ate my dinner... now if you would excuse me, I'm going to train." Arlena said, leaving the dinning hall.

"Does she train often..?" Riku asked.

"Yes, very much so.. At least 7 hours a day when she's not doing things for us."

"7 hours?" Kairi exclaimed.

King Mickey nodded.

"Arrrgggggaaaaaaaaaaah!" Arlena swung her Keyblade at a heartless target, knocking it's head off clean.

She'd been training for about an hour and everyone was finished with dinner. Riku had snuck into the training grounds and began to watch Arlena. She was bouncing from target to target with ease and with what seemed like super speed. She wiped every heartless down with no problem. Once she cut them all down, she flung her Keyblade at the wall that Riku was hiding behind. With sweat dripping down her forehead she said,

"Hello Riku... Want to fight?" A smile appearing on her sweat covered face.

Once she cut them all down, she flung her Keyblade at the wall that Riku was hiding behind. With sweat dripping down her forehead she said,
