Ok, this may seem stupid, but what is a stock? I've heard it mentioned so many times, but I'm always just like.. "say whaa??"

Stocks are royalty-free high-quality photos on websites, and Deviant Art, that are posted specifically for other people to use in photo manips and such. People that have stocks/stock accounts usually post rules in a journal on on the stop description to how they will let their stocks be used.
