Description Made this after a bit more googling and some lovely tips I've received. Unfortunately I read one of these tips after this was done, so the lights are still a bit weird, but I'll hopefully fix that in my next attempt.

This time I was testing bump and specular maps.
This model by legendg85 has some supershiny specs and it looked very plastic and the bumps aren't looking too well either. Nor do I know how to apply mini bump maps.

I feel like such a noob now.

this is stunning! I must ask what program do you use to render your models? blender? I use maya and that doesnt make my models as realistic as yours!

Hey! Yaaay progress! It looks muuuuch better already! Just the bumps are perhaps a little too strong?! But you'll get the hang of it eventually!

Anyways, this is the video tutorial I use [link] to help me! It covers all the basics there! It's really helpful! And there are other great tutorials on Blender Guru that might help you too! I still don't know how to apply mini bumps either but if you need any more help, just say it! I'll be glad to help! ^^

Cycles ? a tips for Normalmap for better rendering : (no "pixelised" effect after rendering)
Blur your map a bit (or, in photofiltre, click on the double water drop) and Resize to 1024* or more, save it and re-render your render

Anyway, great render

Thank you, well I don't know how to work with bump maps in Cycles yet. This is all I've managed to do, it's terrible.
