PS: There is a way to fuse some of the components of v13 to v12...for example, I am using the icon set of v13 on v12...I am exploring scripts and hacking them to work on v12.

yeah , i've heared they were changing things up a little when it comes to the interface but what i have seen so far on the internet looks really good and intriguing to me so thank you for the link , it is much appreciated

Cool, it's my favorite 3d application...used to love 3d Max but Max just got too bulky. I started with Max back when it was owned by Discreet. Remember Plasma?, you can still find it online but it just falls flat by today's standards LOL

it is my favourite as well , i had the trial versions of maya and 3d max but the interface was just not made for me , thank god for cinema , it is so intuitive and so much fun to work with , i can sit in front of it for hours and don't get bored with it
yeah , autodesk is just like adobe , why invent if you can buy it instead , nontheless both coperations managed to stay on top of the business ( at least adobe has no real rival out there at the moment )

lol..I think r12 was a quick fix to keep up with everyone else....have you looked at Blender it is getting very good and will do almost everything c4d will the render engine is not as good and needs some more plugins and a mats library but it moving along for a free 3d program..the user interface is much easier than it used to be.have a look at it or download it

the last time i used blender was back in 2009 and it was already a great software , the only reason i went with c4d was basically the interface which was more to my liking then any of the others ( thank god for trial periods ) but it still blew me away what you can do with it , i mean did you watch sintel a short movie made completely with blender ?

yeah , autodesk is a company that doesn't like me ( us ) no matter what software it is they bring out i just can't seem to befriend myself with it but if blender changed their interface i might give it another try
