There was a little spriting contest on a website to create a mega evolution for Raichu. I decided to draw a bigger artwork of the idea ... what do you think?

I really like this design. Just the right amount of added detail without going overboard, and the subtle addition of light blue is a nice touch!

Thanks! I'm trying not to exaggerate with too many details and spikes and stripes and stuff. Many fake megas I've seen just seem way too ... overloaded. I'm glad you like it
