Interesting question...

I was conversing with a friend, going over names that indicated illusion, deception, or trickery. First a thesaurus was used to find similar words that weren't frequently used. This helped me come up with Mina's last name, but I found it lacking for producing an acceptable name that didn't sound like it was already used by something else.

After looking at several actual words (in English and other languages) I decided that it might be better to play around with mythology for her superhero name.

"Loki" came up in Norse mythology as a god of trickery, I thought it sounded cool, but was missing something. Adding " Tai" on the end sounded cool, and doesn't add any significant meaning that I know of. After that the only decision left was whether to conjoin the words ("Lokitai", put a space between (Loki Tai), or use a dash (Loki-Tai).

It should be obvious which one I chose
