It is always especially sad when young people go before their time and this painting must be a wonderful comfort to Rhianna's parents and family, it truly touches the heart and makes a wonderful momento.

Oh, James - what an absolutely beautiful painting. Rhianna's story touches a nerve as we just lost a young cousin of mine last year to cancer - he was such a trooper, too; and you wouldn't have known he'd been ill all of his life because of his enthusiasm for living! He never complained, even when he had every right to! My thoughts are with Rhianna's family, too!

What a sad story! But the painting is beautiful. I know her parents must love it. It's such a tragedy when a parent outlives their child. It's so sad. I hope the parents of Rhianna will find solace somehow, and that your portait of their daughter helps them with do that.

*wiping tears* A glorious tribute James! I love the soft glow about her, setting her apart from the surroundings - a sweet sprite so bright and irridescent that everything else seems shadowed. It was a brilliant choice to keep her in soft pastel tones and the other elements so strong and vibrant by comparison. Losing a wee one is every parents' worst nightmare (it's certainly one of mine!) but you've created a delicate, loving memorial. Very well done!
