I know you design these, but do you also put them on people's skin yourself? Is this common for good tattoo artists (same person who designs also tattoos?) Asking because looking at your gallery reminded me that I used to want to do this myself. Not that I'm good enough to design such things, and maybe my hand will never be steady enough to tattoo, but I'd love to know all about it

Nah, I'm just playing with tattoo machines, doing doodles on skin. As far as I know some people in this business- good tattoo artist tattoo only custom designs, prepared with them own hands and imagination.

^_^ Lol - I assure you, there is no "eye-roll". I was good griefing the idea of doodling with a needle on people's skin (whoops! I'll just get my eraser... oh, wait) (which is what I thought you were questioning too). Yes, I admit to being vague, so I'm here to clear it up - sorry for causing the misunderstanding!

I'm really intrigued by the detail of the sun behind the bird! How was that made? Did you use white inks and highlight the shape with black, or did you just use black ink to give it a kind of a shadow, the highlight being the customer's own skintone?
