Heard about a ClipStudioPaint drawing competition themed "prince n princess", so decided to try it out. I've never taken part in any type competitions before, not ever, so this is a first for me.If you want to support me getting through this, you can go to the Clip Studio Facebook page and "like" my drawing once it comes out there.

As for the pic itself, first time trying to draw a woman of some colour. It was a struggle but hopefully a good one. Still don't quite know how to add "warm highlights" to darker skin, need to keep working on that.
Originally she was supposed to be some sort of Ancient Egyptian brought to glorious medieval times (imagine if the dynasties had never fallen but had continued to develop for several millennia more), but quite soon her attire began to go its own direction into unknown waters... and this was the result. I have no idea of the purpose of the golden lace disk behind her head but it looks cool. Also, no idea what those glowing turquoise gems are... Maybe magic beads?
Done entirely on my Clip Studio Paint Pro. Almost all of it on my favourite Pencil brush.
She has a total of 138 layers... (yes, I counted them all)

And I like how the braid went in shadows so at first I didn't noticed but it gives such nice suprice to discover it after while - almost have to guess it...

That looks really nice. I'm actually getting kind of a Vietnamese vibe from her, her headdress and gown reminds me of Vietnamese folk costumes.

Yeah, not that you mention it, she does have this weird Vietnamese feel to her! That was not intentional, at all. Maybe I've been in Asia too long and it's rubbing off...

Most welcome. really stunning work which reminds me of some of the Renaissance art work I recall seeing. Now I will freely admit my artist talent is limited to stick figures any my knowledge on art history less if possible, but I am indeed an art enthusiast for all forms, tone death as I am for music but still. I am a poet trapped in an engineers body. Still love your art
