Description
One of the random sketches suffering from the curse of Damas. Despite all its attempts to work its way into obscurity amongst meh unfinished sketch folders, I persevered and put it to rest (though I wonder... was it worth it. Gack! I be horrid with posey pics!! Anyways, bad posey pic of the Guardian Knights of Harmonie (or Queen's/King's Knights [title would change with whichever monarch be in power], if you prefer). They be the knights you always find standing around looking pretty next to the Queen in any book, and are the first to get beat up by the heros. XD
Ehem... okie, actually the Queen's knights are the elite guard made up of the best, most skilled of the knights of the realm (and usually the advisor/strategist is included amongst the ranks, even if he/she does not know how to fight). And they don't stand around and look pretty and get beat up. X'D Though, mostly, they are sent out on useless city patrols in peaceful times (atleast Izul and Lancel are. Fenrir would never wear out the soles of his boots when he can be sniffing flowers with the Queen in the garden, noooo! XD).
Er.... the posey people from left to right:

Siam Iwail - The only female in the current ranks (and also the only non-human). She's one of the older veterans (83), an arrogant little archer who has to bear the unwanted attentions of both Fenrir and Lancel.
Izul Falmar - Er.... I'm sure I've babbled enough about him in other pics. The shield bearer, he posses the strongest one in the world, one which can render a whole army invincible... if he manages to get it to work.
Lancel Tesnic - Okie, where and how does a chakram bearer keep/hang his chakrams? I'm sure Lancel is quite a nuisance to the public as he patrols the streets with those blades hanging around like a porcupine?
Aside from that, Lancel is quite interested in Siam, however all his attempts at charming her are foiled, thanks to Fenrir's early morning flirting leaving her in a foul mood everyday.Fenrir Falmar - Captain of the knights, Izul's older brother, extreme flirt. He's quite unlike Izul in all ways (taller to start off with and with clothes that aren't falling apart!
). To the surprise of the masses, he was chosen as captain ahead of the much experienced Damas, but has proved to be the best for the job, despite his flighty side. XDDamas Pendergast - Er... Mr. Veteran of 1000 battles? X'D He be cursed! Any painting with him in it never gets completed! D: Aside from that, a heavy armour warrior, he's one of the older, remaining members of the old knights. It was thought he would be the next to become captain of the knights.
Gawain Tancred - (Har.... can anyone guess who this knight be inspired by? XD) The youngest person ever to join the knights (at the age of nine) when he single handedly defeated a whole legion and protected the King (who was still alive seven years back). Heavy armour knight.
Oghma Calflas - Oghma be the strategist, an alchemist, a traitor to his home country and er... me too lazy to draw his overly ornate rapier? *lost patience* His philosopher's stone/anima is the guardian of Toรฎle, a great water serpent of the gods - the Leviathan, the taking of which added to his list of traitorly-ness.
And that be it. I'll be amazed if you all actually read that.

Nice character constellation. I like the two older guys, and that they're not all in their teens... that way, the youngest and his story really caught my interest! and I like how there's only one woman, too. ^^ Their poses are great, by the way!! I especially like the Lancel&Fenrir area.
"Veteran of 1000 Battles" is such a sexy title <3 I like him. He's not angry that Fenrir became captain instead of him. Or is he? *_*

Nah, Damas wasn't angry at Fenrir bcoming captain. He never cared much for titles, nor the responsibilities that came along with it (preferring to stay in the background and only offereing advice when Fenrir seemed to be messing up or overdoing things). Fenrir's flashy personality is perfect for being the captain, as according to Damas! XD

Er.... not exactly. Me 'job' (if one can even call it that! D: ) is being an... artist! I usually work on a bunch of stuffs, exhibit, refuse to sell, have the buyers beg, and then finally sell off for some exorbitant price or the other (and everyone goes off home happy! ...except me maybe, since I didn't really want to sell
As a side job I do work as a concept artist in this animation place. (So that I can I carry on my 'I'm-a-millionaire!-I refuse-to-sell!' ways)
...And now I feel like being nosey about something I've been curious about for the longest while - what exactly was your thesis about/in?

My jaw dropped on this one... may be my fav of your work yet! I'm a sucker for group pics and this really does it cause I love knights XD This reminded me of the Suikoden 5 royal guard in a way ^___^-b They all look so full of personality to each their own self! Yet united they stand and united they look like they can kick anyone's butt (even if it's not the case XP )

Heh heh... poor Lancel's plight is the worst! XD Fenrir doesn't even truly care for Siam like so. He just goes through his 'early morning flirting' routine with Siam everyday, putting her in a bad mood, and totally ruining Lancel's chances. X'D He's probably not even aware Lancel truly likes Siam. XDD

I'll have to take a look!I thought about hanging Lancel's on his belt, but I was wondering, having uncovered multiple blades hanging off either side, wouldn't that result in him accidently injuring himself or something?

Ahhhhhh........the heartache it's like betty and veronica after archie although completely reversed cuz Siam doesn't like the attention and Fenrir doesn't know about Lancel.................well he should try getting up early,..........I hope he doesn't have late night patrol duty.....
the backstrap looks good though,........the cool knight showing of his chakram to scare the enemies cuz the think he is a mutant like wolverine and the ladies like guys who can handle dangerous weaponry.......besides if my memory serves me right which it often doesn't I think xena's Chakram was smaller much smaller......
anyway enough of Xena it's nearly time for the festivities of chand raat and eid me thinking of making something festive

I had to crack up at that. Poor knights...always get underrated. Though they could be completely awful and still be much much better than the ones we have in FanFyria. But...there's no point to that, since yours are just awesome.
I love pics like this...where you get a good view of all the characters and still get a feel for their personalities and interactions between the characters.

The knights in FanFyria be awful? The type who'd get beaten up 3 chapters into the book? XD When I was going through you guys' stuffs in MuseGate I noticed three knights called Zigfried Redfist, Nash Greene, and Lillia Nuctros. Surely they not be the horrid knights?!

I'm actually a bigger fan of Gareth, but I love Gawain too...all the brothers really. All those darn French writers who started making up stories about Lancelot being better... *shakes fist*

And actually, the knights who have names anyway are pretty good. Nash is rather exceptional really, and Zigfried isn't bad, but he's a huge flirt and more worried about the condition of his hair than his sword sometimes. Lillia's not really a knight...more like tactician only. Luca has skill too and such...but yeah.
It's more just all the nameless guards. Like the ones in Morland regularly argue about whether Ethe is a cat, dog, squirrel, mouse, or even a chameleon. And I think they decided that the cat Pox was a penguin. The ones in Naphriel are all fanboys and swarm Zealous for autographs every chance they get. And the ones in Mihad just always try to outdo each other with every little thing. All of them are very easy to just.......walk around or beat up or whatever.
Anyway - you should join MuseGate! Would be fun...yes yes!

XD...and I will definitely let you know whenever I actually finish it like....ten years from now or something. I only have a small collection of random scenes for it so far...but basically it's a modern take on the whole return myth - Arthur and Merlin wake up and the rest of the knights and Guinevere are reincarnated and they all save the world and try not to repeat the mistakes of their pasts and such, with a few really weird twists.....

Hehe, this looks like one of those official team/group photographs where the photographer decides to snap-away when everybody's not quite ready (Except for Gawain and Damas in this case). Again, the armor, weaponry and clothes are really well drawn and detailed (The chakrams!
