Description I started working on this way back in April and it's been on hold ever since. It didn't end up as well as I wanted it to. The Akita is a bit too long because I hid his feet in the grass so some of his height disappeared and the head is a little weird too. I also wanted him to look prouder which he did until I applied the last layer of color.
Done with watercolor pencils and white ink. I used lots of refs for different parts.

This looks beautiful! I love the colours c: not sure if you've seen it but this reminds me of the end scene in episode 26 of an anime called Ginga Densetsu Weed where the main Akita character sits under a cherry blossum c:

Aww this looks nice, Β and I love the theme! I think you did rather well on the Akita, even if it is like you said a bit too long. There are two things I can point out tho, the head is somewhat too circular, they tend to have a more triangular shaped head. Also, the white areas on the cheeks slope down too much, this part is usually rounded and goes slightly upwards almost like a half circle before sloping down. Thanks! I sometimes loose sight of these 2 aspects. I plan to do an intensive study on Akitas before the next time I draw one. Your tips are very helpful. I don't think I would have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out.
