Great, oryginal compositionwith fitting his face in the whole frame, one of best 2Pac portraits, I've ever seen, because of good work with colours and details.

my pleasure!! The acting is believable but the whole scenery and the music gave me goosebumps... But what I loved was the actress who played lil kim, daaayyymn! But let me restrict my excitement just for you bcoz I got so much respect for you...
Keep bringing your paintings...

You don't have to restrict your excitement on my account, you know my mind is as broad as the Amazon! lol
It's nice to be respected though, I appreciate it, thank you.
Yeah, I got stuff planned...thanks for the encouragement, too.

Fantastically well rendered; exceptional media handling and a starkly compelling composition...

That is Tupac.
Of course you have heard the song. A freaky song about Biggie's death, written by a man long berried by the time Biggie died.
Machiavelli is what he called himself toward the end.
...and so, another urban legend begins.

Yes, it's a strange song. I played his stuff for most of the time while I was painting him and actually found 'In The Event of My Demise' a much better epitaph...This title was too good not to use though, as just as a phrase it says a lot about my attitude to painting him - and also I think a lot of reconciliation goes on on the other side, so I'm hoping maybe those two have made their peace!

It all works together quite well as a composition and visual statement. This is leagues beyond and introduces a comfortable style of painting that appears much less worked. Perhaps you should try taking out the camera during the process to compare the various stages, but frankly all painters pass those crossroads where they think their work was more compelling, but in all likelihood was not..
Very professional piece

Those reworkings are a great road planner for future work where you can assimilate some of the stages by varying your technique and/or materials, visa vi different brushes, new mediums, glazing methods, various grounds, reversing steps, etc.

Thanks again, Boss!
On this one I did use smaller brushes than I had before, and also dug out some photo-oil colours I'd had for longer than I can remember...decades, for sure. I really like the way they are very intense pigment wise and more translucent than anything I've used before. Dont think you can buy them in the UK anymore, but seems you have them over there, which is nice to know.
