Hello everyone!

It’s been a LONG LONG time since I’ve been back here on Deviantart! Years in fact! And I’m far far beyond being behind on messages, comments and other’s works of art that I deeply admire! But alas my life with my two little ones, who aren’t so little any more, have made things a bit more hectic, especially in regards to finding time for creative endeavors. But this was a special case…

Sadly one of my closest friend’s mother passed away recently and as a gift, I wanted to do a drawing for her to show my love and support. The drawing is of her mother in her younger years and I tried to capture her spirit and zest for life that I saw in the reference I used. With ‘g friend’s permission, she’s allowing me to share the drawing with all of you. The image was done completely in pencil.

Thanks for looking everyone! And I hope to be back relatively soon. This drawing did allow me to get my feet wet again and make some time for art, even if it’s for a short time in the evening when the kiddos are asleep. I’d like to try to do more, if possible. Even if it’s just for me. I’d even like to post my writing again if there’s still interest there, but I suppose I’ll take it one step at a time! Until we meet again then! And take care everyone!
