Story
Dante stroked the neck of the powerful stallion beneath him. El Khalim was taut with excitement and suspressed energy, but he was listening well to Dante's commands as they warmed up.

When it was their turn to enter the show arena, Dante let his horse set a fast but rhythmic pace. El Khalim's big stride and bold movement carried them towards the first jump quickly, and then they were over. The next set of jumps was two tightly spaced bars, which Khalim bounded over with no problems. After that, it was a tight turn to the left, and Dante kept El Khalim close to the rail. He knew it could cost them a little time, but their pace was fast, and he knew it was more important to come into the jump correctly than to cut corners.

In a moment, they had flown over the jump and on to the fourth. Dante was elated; El Khalim was moving perfectly, responding to him instantly. True, the stallion's ears were back and he was pulling a little on the reins, but that was inevitable with this horse. At the end of the course, Dante was grinning broadly.
