This was a beautiful and fun commission for

Shes a dear friend, and I love her to pieces! This last Valentines day, February 14th, 2009, she was married to the love of her life. Their wedding was colored white and red, and the pictures were fantastic.

The idea she had for the image was based off of a quote...

"We are, each of us angels, with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another." ~Luciano de Crescenzo

I think it's very true. Both people bring a half to the relationship, and together they make a whole life, to live and to cherish one another until death.

In my opinion, this is one of the sweetest pictures I've ever drawn. If you want to know about the details of the picture, [link] is a link to a close up of the two. The background was requested from a similar picture I did years ago, which is found in my gallery.

They were married in a Catholic church, and share the wedding Rosary, connecting them both. Their wings are my favorite part though. Her wing embraces him to her, as shes the nurturer, and his wing is on the outside as he is her protector. The sun is off to the right slightly as they begin their journey together. (Yes, I really did think of all of this before hand! I'm not that sappy, am I? -.- Hopeless romantic. What do you expect.) *Sigh*

I hope to find happiness one day as Janey and her husband have! I love you both, and I'm so happy for you!! May you both lead a wonderful life with one another. (And may Ricos hair become like Ricky Ricardo! XD)
