Nathaniel is a man full of contradictions. He’s prideful, yet willing to do anything for his own benefit, definitely easily bought by money. It is always his interest above everything else. Judges everyone around him but he is really no better than them. A cool guy to chat with if you put a glass of whiskey in his hand, but wrong him once and he could be a thorn in your side for a long time. He could laugh at the lamest joke until he is out of breath, always living in the present with little to no plan for the future, while drowning anything he couldn’t let go with bottles and bottles of liquor. Life without challenges and drama is boring for Nathaniel, so much so that sometimes he would stir things up for his own amusement, and simply shrugs when told to take responsibility. That word doesn’t seem to exist in the man’s dictionary.

♛ History:
Before Nathaniel was a Vessel, he was a gambler, a drug dealer. A trash, in summary. Elko was a witch that he came across in a tavern, a chill fellow who knew how to have fun. All it took was a messy fight breaking out in said tavern for Nathaniel to have a taste of what it felt like working with a witch. He loved it and he wanted in.

They were partnered for some years, working as delivery men. From common goods to valuables to mysterious bundles. They wouldn’t pry if their clients wouldn’t elaborate. So long as there was money, they would do it. Elko was skilled with magic, Nathaniel with his fists and knives; they thought themselves as great partners.

It all came to an abrupt end when the duo received yet another secretive crate to deliver. They didn’t know that it was stolen goods, or that it came from the trove of a Lord. Assassins were sent out to retrieve the crate, Elko and Nathaniel were thought to be friends of the thieves, who knew too much and were expected to be dead. Unlike the robbers they usually met, these men were trained and many. Elko couldn’t survive the fight, Nathaniel only managed to win thanks to the powerful spirit sealed inside him that turned the fight in his favor.

But without his witch, there was no way to release the spirit, Nathaniel knew that his life was hitting a fast count down. He rode to the nearest village to seek help: Hekates. He didn’t care whether it would be good or bad witches, he simply wanted the thing that was eating him inside out to be gone.   And help came in the form of an unexpectedly charming dark witch Gladimir. Nathaniel was (not so nicely) invited to be part of the sanctuary, and thus the man decided to stay (and find a way to get himself healed once he finds out that the possession had screwed his body up), being rather powerless now without his witch.

- Part asian.
- He’s actually conscious about his thinning hair please don’t point that out thanks.
- He will beat up anyone who abuses a cat. Cats are sacred, don’t be rude.
- Easily pissed when hungry, then he’ll be sarcastic and downright mean.
- Has great skills in gutting and carving out animal flesh.
- A smoker. Never turns down a cigarette offer. Same goes for alcohol.
- Mild addiction to opium, not enough to get into withdrawal but he will be antsy when he craves it.
- Has pretty long fingers.
- Tends to sing songs off tune when drunk.
