During the process of this image i encountered serious technical and non-technical issues. anyway, it was a nice journey!sculpting and most of the textures are done and hand-painted with Mouse. the inspiration comes from a painting i stopped by accidentally. i used maya for the base meshes, ZBrush for sculpting and texturing, mental ray for rendering, Photoshop for texturing and post-production, Shave and Haircut and pHairTK for the fur. there are roughly 13 million hair prims divided into five hair systems.

Excellent work Super-Her0 both in conception and execution.
Coming from a traditional non-digital background (oil paints), I have only a vague understanding of the software and processes that you have used to create this piece. However, the end result is evidence of a level of competence akin to a Master. When I look at this I see an Artist that has reached a point when the fun starts and the possibilities are limited only by the imagination.
Needless to say I am now an avid watcher of yours.

I believe any kind of art has it's own techniques and tools no matter if it is traditional or digital, but the process only becomes enjoyable and creative when the artist drive the tools, not let the tools drive him/her.

Awesome, never thought this is 3d!
I really like the sense for detail and the realism, the only thing giving a hint on the 3d are the arms of the waitress - but only after a second look!
Another thing I recognized is that the background maybe a photograph, at least it seems so, because the perspective on the bottom isnΒ΄t quite in par with the table, other than that -great work
